Economy wise Donald Trump was the best president of the 21st-century, people need to stop putting politics before country.

GDP growth when the virus hit was only 2.3%. Look it up. That's not a great economy.

And that was WITH TRILLIONS in help from the Fed (he begged for EVEN MORE) and HUGE spending.

The fact that he says something doesn't make it true. Especially him. Of all people.
You prefer the metric that when 76% of Americans are behind financially since Biden took office, you refer to that as a great economy.

When Biden took office, the government was shoveling massive amounts of money straight into people’s bank accounts. Of course they were better off.

By no means am I claiming Mr. Trump is 100% responsible for giving us a great economy. That was the work of the American people combined with solid leader ship.

For all of the complaining people do with Mr. Trump whether it’s his taxes, his personal life, his in your face attitude..,, the price of a home was astronomically lower under Mr. Trump. Again, this is really critically important. I am not saying Mr. Trump was solely responsible for this, but it is simply a fact we had a much much better economy under trump. And it makes the blood of Americans boil that the price of homes are so astronomically high now along with high interest rates.

Hopefully things will get better within a few years instead of 20 years down the road … if we have to wait 20 years for reasonable home prices it will ruin the lives of so many Americans in their primes…many Americans across the country who are married, and have kids currently living in tiny little dump apartments. Yeah that’s America for you today.

Not even mentioning the social issues. President Biden supporting men going into the women’s bathroom. radical change for the worse in America with the BLM extremism in the last few years… we can all just even not talk about that, and simply concentrate on the astronomical price of a home in this country.
4 million jobs were lost under Trump. 13 million were created so far under Biden.

Not combined with anything. It was us who paid the higher prices for everything that kept the stores open and gas flowing.

The increase housing prices are only affected by 3 things.
1. How much profit the homeowner wants to make on the sale. This includes home flippers.
2. The states appraisals. In Texas, where I'm from, the state reduced the property tax rate a very small percentage . I remember Abbott bragging about this on TV. I believe that was the year I sold everything. The very next year, the state appraisals on most properties doubled. Some even tripled. If I had waited a year, I could've gotten $15,000 per acre, instead of the $3500 per acre it was appraised.
So what they did was lower the tax rate, but greatly increased their appraisal values simply to collect more in taxes, but say "we reduced the tax rate." Sneaky politics.
3. Interest rates. Which have almost nothing to do with appraisal values.

Don't hold your breath. Even if Trump get's elected. Because no president has any authority to reduce state property appraisals. During Trumps presidency, prices still increased. Especially the same year he left office. The $8 trillion that Trump spent, in his 4 years, did that. Biden didn't help matters. But in the first year of Biden, none of his new policies had any effect on prices or inflation, as it takes over a year for a presidents new policies to show up anywhere.

Trump supported trannies going into female restrooms. (Caitlyn Jenner videoed this). The left is retarded on this issue. They're radicals when it comes to all issues dealing with trans, sex changes for adults and children.

About home prices. Once again, we see people giving Trump credit for something he had no control over. Nor do we want the federal government micromanaging this. What we need it fiscal conservatives running the states. Not these RINO's like Trump, McCarthy and Johnson. People who would rather the government not take up the task, than to create another bureaucracy and increases taxes to pay for it. Those who would rather the free market work things out, than the government.

That is an informed and well thought out post. Now I do have to say, and I’m not trying to be disrespectful by a relatively short post here, but it is of course fair to say that the rise in the price of timber, steel, and other goods has also of course caused homes to skyrocket in price. And that is imo the fault of Republicans and Democrats maybe Trump could’ve done better there… the lockdowns and the trillions of dollars we printed in “stimulus money” helped to greatly spike up inflation.

During the lockdowns, there was a wealth transfer of billions of dollars from the middle class to the wealthy class. People still need to eat as you might point out and so companies and the wealthy elite got extremely rich during those lockdowns while the middle class was negatively affected.

Make no mistake I admire the wealthy Americans of history, Carnegie, Rockefeller, and the likes of Ford. But I think that today the wealthy class is not what it used to be. I think they clearly used to be for not only themselves, but creating a better country.

I would support Vivek Ramaswami if he was the gop nominee . He appears to be a kind of guy who doesn’t want to give our money away to foreign countries, he certainly appears to be fiscally conservative, though I could be wrong.

Trump doesn’t support banning all forms of abortion so I kind of disagree with that. Unless it maybe is something that has to do with the life of the mother. But I believe he supports abortions at some point in the pregnancy even if it is not a threat to the mothers life. He might be LGBT friendly, and I believe in equal rights for everybody, but I think it’s clearly safe to say he is not as radical on that issue as is Joe Biden.

But I have some viewpoints that you might disagree with like having a system where we’re not sending trillions of dollars away to invade Iraq, giving hundreds of billions to Israel and Ukraine and Egypt. And instead use that money to build up hospitals, maybe spend $10 billion on a statue to pay homage to George Washington.

I do not believe in socialism or communism. But I believe wrt the trillions of dollars we wasted on invading Iraq, supporting Israel, Egypt and Ukraine, that that money could be used for free healthcare, free drug rehab centers, and free nursing homes of the highest quality for all American citizens.

Build great statues throughout the country, build up the national parks so everywhere people go in America they see greatness. Because honestly a lot of the country is torn apart meaning that the streets have potholes the inner cities are degraded. It’s an ugly site and I’ve traveled through the United States and I’ve seen the bad parts of this country.

But I suppose, none of that really matters. If I’m voting for the same guy you’re voting for what difference do our disagreements make I suppose.

Stop right there. Hold the phone.
Timber price increases were from mostly saw mills gouging and retail sale gouging. I'm in timber country now. I know a lot of folks who work the woods. From those who run the skidders, the truckers and my landlord is part owner of a couple of saw mills.
Those who work the timber, didn't get much of a raise. The truckers had a cut in rate. So the price increases are somewhere between the sawmills (who pay the truckers and those who cut, trim and load the timber) and the final sale of lumber.
Once again, you're trying to give Trump credit for something he has nothing to do with. And put the blame on Biden, who also has nothing to do with this.

I don't know anything about the steel business. But I suspect the federal government has very little to do with their pricing, their overhead and the deals they make to wholesalers and retail.

Agreed. 100% The money Biden borrowed and put into the economy isn't going to show up until the next president is in office. I feel sorry for who ever that is, because it's inevitable that the inflation increase will be as high as what Trump caused.
Especially since there's no major reason for all of Biden's spending. With Obama it was the wars, the bailouts and the ACA coming online. With Trump, a large part was Covid. Even though Trumps first Omnibus bill was like $1.4 trillion, and funded things like gender studies in Pakistan.

I'd support Vivek as well. He's much more fiscally conservative than Trump.
(If you haven't noticed, I can't stand RINO's)

If DeSantis is still around on super Tuesday, I'll vote for him. That is, unless something changes. Like it's discovered that he's lied about something important, cheated on his family etc etc etc.
This thread, though filled with way too much vulgar language, pretty much states verbatim why I support DeSantis.
Here's my list of why I don't support Trump.
Increased the debt ceiling twice
Suspended it for 2 years
Spent $8 trillion in just 4 years
Helped to create the 8% inflation increase the year he left office
He only vetoed 1 spending bill in 4 years
Assaulted the 2A
Reauthorized government to spy on Americans. (FISA 702)
Forced landlords to go without rent for a year or more. (a Covid mandate)
Endorsed Ronna
Endorsed McCarthy
He didn't actually secure the border. And used eminent domain to take away land rights of those who live on the border.
He didn't go after antifa or BLM.
He handed Pelosi and the left the House of Reps in 2018. And the Senate in 2020.
Struck a deal with US, Mexico and Saudi oil producers to decrease oil production, 7 months before the Trump/Biden election. Initiating the 2020 oil bust cycle.
Takes credit for an economy he inherited, that WE made better (not him)
Takes credit for low oil prices when it was the Russian and Saudi's oil price war that drove those prices down. And
it was the US oil companies that chose to produce as much as they did. It's called an oil boom cycle.
He started bashing DeSantis 3 days before the 2022 FL governors election, after DeSantis was the highest fund raiser for Trump, out of all the other governors. There's some loyalty for ya.

BTW, thank you for the respectful debate.

Do tell what policies or law enacted by the former 1-term fuckup held home prices lower.

And old white man complaining about BLM again in a post about home prices.

Normal people understand the difference between correlation and causation.

I’m way ahead since President Biden was elected.

You maga fuckups can just keep going backward.

I can have it find with DeSantis. I hope he is the nominee. If not my vote goes 3Rd party. Heck Taylor swift would be better than the 2 main choices.
