Early Voting Begins Today for Virginia Redistricting Referendum

I live here and know that is BS.
I bet you live in Richmond or Roanoke. Apparently you just don't have any love for your state.

They gerrymandered 5 Dem seats, VA only gerrymandered 4 GOP seats.
Yep, only 4 GOP seats. Meanwhile, the GOP only had 5. So now, there is only 1 GOP representative in a state which by area, is probably 90% republican. As usual, all of the democrats live in a few big cities in the East. But trust me, I admire the democrats for once again doing what they have to, to get what they want, and getting it done. If only the GOP had as much spine.

Conservatives in TX and UT did not have to literally amend their Constitutions to redistrict like CA and VA scum Dems did.
those two state leges change things all around in their state laws to keep the other side down and you know it.

TX legislature did it under existing law. CA and VA had to literally suspend their Constitution to pull off their scams, Scumbaggery writ large.
they did nothing of the sort

you are just making things up

He’s the one bringing it up. Take it up with him.

And you are excusing Texas's mid-cycle actions ordered by Trump because you don't like Virginia's reaction.

There is an old saying: "Watch what you ask for, you might get it and not like the results."

Nope. Their state laws say the legislature redistricts. Which is what they did.

Thank you for reaffirming my point.

I don't remember the argument, but the GOP lege in Utah back in the late 90s passed something and said it could only be changed by a 2/3 vote of the people.

Neither the GOP in TX and UT believe in the right of the people governed to consent to change.

The people in CA used the Constitution to override the law. They created new law, legally.

The judge in Utah had the legal authority to override the legislature, legally.

No I didn't, I said the SCOTUS said that power grabs were an A-OKAY reason for redistricting.

So Texas started this problem based on orders from Trump.

Gerrymandering started way before Texas did this.

Not sure why you'd say that but you are wrong. Again.

You are correct but dirt don't vote in state elections, that is what the Electoral College is for.

But trust me, I admire the democrats for once again doing what they have to, to get what they want, and getting it done. If only the GOP had as much spine.
Trump has more spine than any other US politician I know and he is the source of VA's recent vote.
