A three-judge panel ruled unanimously Monday that the trial judge did not violate Trump’s rights when he allowed Carroll to present evidence suggesting Trump had committed other sexual assaults. That evidence included Trump’s comments on the infamous “Access Hollywood” tape as well as testimony from other two other women who accused Trump of sexual assault.

“[T]he jury could reasonably infer … that Mr. Trump engaged in similar conduct with other women — a pattern of abrupt, nonconsensual, and physical advances on women he barely knew,” the panel wrote in a 77-page opinion. The judges ruling on the matter were Obama appointees Denny Chin and Susan Carney, as well as Biden appointee Myrna Perez.

The case started on the 25th of April and finished on 4th May. Trump had ample time to go on the stand and refute the claims...

Amazing how jaded the legal system is. She wins a case with absolutely zero evidence, and when the accused tries to maintain innocence, he is sued for defaming someone who won a case against someone with zero evidence.


Here's the deal, that she won the case makes no difference in his ability to proclaim innocence, it's his right to do so. He still maintains that he didn't do it, and the court never proved that he did. They just assumed he could have because of the access Hollywood tape. There is still no evidence that the two ever met in bergdorf department store. But, since the court decided, on preponderence of evidence that it's possible he could have, for some reason, people think that you lose your right to defend yourself. You don't.

I would expect this case to make it to scotus soon.....either that, or I would sue e jean Carroll and force her to provide evidence of any interaction.

The jury was left with making a decision on the preponderance of circumstantial evidence as is the case in a lot of "he said, she said" rape cases. Civil matters don't have the same evidentiary burden of criminal cases. They went with the credibility of the two people involved (trump being an inveterate liar), Carroll's vivid recollection of the assault, the testimony of two other women assaulted by trump, and the AH tape providing more evidence of trump's pattern of behavior.............

Rather that verdict holds up through the appeals process or doesn’t won’t change the fact that Trump will still be rich and be sworn in as the 47th President in a few weeks.
