Donald Trump to make gas cans great again

It takes time to reverse the Biden damage its coming

Trump has nothing to do with oil production. Producers will produce enough to meet demand and thats it.

Joe Biden Is Producing More Oil Than Donald Trump Did

American oil production has reached its largest volume in recorded history—more than 13.2 million barrels per day in October, official figures show—outpacing its highest point under Donald Trump's presidency, 13 million barrels daily in November 2019.

This is despite President Joe Biden making environmental politics and the transition to a green economy a key plank of his agenda, while his predecessor has consistently touted a desire to increase fossil fuel production to keep the price of gas and energy low for consumers.

Trump inherited a booming economy — and handed Biden a nation 'in shambles'

“President Trump is handing Biden an economy in shambles, still down nearly 10 million jobs from its pre-pandemic peak and struggling to avoid a double-dip recession,” Moody’s Analytics Chief Economist Mark Zandi wrote in a research note earlier this week.

“Whereas you might say what Trump inherited was a 'normal market,' Joe Biden is inheriting a market that’s at extremes,” Martin said. “You just have a whole new ballgame for Joe Biden.”

What President Biden Inherits

A raging virus, a struggling economy and a fast-growing mountain of debt.

As President Joe Biden takes office, he inherits:

  • The worst disease outbreak in over a century, which is spreading faster and killing more people in the U.S. than at any time since it began one year ago.
  • Highly effective vaccines that so far have reached only 4% of the public.
  • An economy struggling with 10 million jobless and millions more out of the workforce.
  • A rising tide of murders — up nearly 36% last year in major cities.
  • Federal debt the highest since World War II, as a percentage of the U.S. economy, and an annual deficit running at $2.3 trillion this year — even before Biden asks for a $1.9 trillion aid package.
  • More monthly illegal border crossings from Mexico than before Donald Trump took office, despite 453 miles of new or upgraded barriers along the nearly 2,000-mile line.

Economic Growth

Biden inherits an economy not yet fully recovered from the deep recession induced by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Even before the recession, growth was relatively modest — real (inflation-adjusted) gross domestic product grew 2.2% in 2019, according to the Bureau of Economic Analysis, down from 3.0% the year before, which was the best year of Trump’s tenure.

I don't get the angst about properly functioning gas cans.

Is it just because it was mentioned by Trump?

If so you people need to re-access your mental capabilities.
Hair triggers.

I don't know what I would do if I lost my old one, I have had for years. I guess go on ebay and try and find one. Mine is just the bottle with a spout you unsnap the cap off of. No springs or any dumb stuff like that.
The White House is trying to make gas cans fill great again.

In a July 24 letter, the EPA has asked gas can manufacturers to redesign their much-maligned products to fix a long-standing problem: "People hate 'em," said Florida-based eBay gas can reseller Steven Watt, 63. "It's all about the spout."

I don't know how much gas I've spilled with those spring loaded piece of shit spouts.

You dont seem to understand how it works. The president controls production by ordering the EPA Dept Of Energy and Dept of the Interior to adhere to his policiy by appointing the heads to those departments

Executive Summary

  • On January 20, 2025, President Trump signed several energy-related executive orders intended to boost U.S. oil and gas production and exports by declaring a national energy emergency, removing regulatory barriers, and expediting permitting approval for oil and gas projects.
  • With the rapid growth in oil and gas production over the past two decades due to the shale boom, the United States is already the world’s largest oil and gas producer and a net exporter.
  • The executive orders will likely have limited immediate impact on U.S. oil and gas production, as many of the policies must be enacted through legislation or agency rulemaking; moreover, it is demand and return on investment that are the main drivers of U.S. oil and gas production, not deregulation.

President Donald Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill Act ends long-standing federal support for solar and wind power, while creating a friendly environment for oil, gas and coal production.

The House of Representatives passed Trump’s megabill Thursday ahead of a White House-imposed deadline, after the Senate narrowly approved the controversial legislation Tuesday.

Trump has made his priorities on energy production clear. The U.S. will rely on oil, gas, coal and nuclear to meet its growing energy needs, the president said last weekend, bashing wind and solar power.
  • Nuff said now you know how it works

Department heads don't determine how much oil is produced.

If you can get the idiots from burning themselves then the lawsuits would stop and has can could be simpler.

It will change back after Trump is gone.

No....
If I try to mix....
First I gotta get ethanol free gas. I do that already for lawnmower....no problem there.

But for whatever reason, if I use stuff I mix myself and I'll be danged if I can get it started again next time after using a gallon. It never works out better. Cheaper? Of course. But definitely not better.

I'll have to go through a carb job and replace the spark plug if I use stuff I mix. If I use pre-mix I just fire it up. No carb cleaning, no new spark plug....it fires up like it's brand new...except it's 3 years old. ( 1.3 acre property)

Yes, it's more expensive....yes, not something I enjoy paying. But....I'm old...get distracted....and carburetor jobs and new plugs? Uggghhhh....boring and useless just to save $10/gallon. (About 2 gallons a year) That's worth every bit of $20 and more to me every year.
Wow. Never had a problem mixing my own.

Those cans weren't designed that way because people were burning them selves. They were designed that way to keep gas vapors from getting into the air. They were a failure.

All while the price of beef skyrockets.
With Kai now here guys will want to be men and get jobs herding cattle again. Save us from the Obama girls who made guys be drag queens that can't.

Husband mixes his own and I always had trouble starting stuff. We have smaller yard now so he got me ryobi cordless stuff.
Smaller yard? Yeah....you got options. With a large yard like mine and in the deep Southeast in the backwoods country....it's a jungle out there. I need the power and extension cords or batteries are going to be more work than less.
I use a 60" zero turn for mowing...because I got the room to maneuver it and don't get stuck. I do my father's postage stamp yard too. It takes about 15 minutes and the weedeating just as long if not longer. (Too easy) but my dad's place only has a couple of trees. (Used to be a rental)

He uses an electric blower for the clippings on his driveway.

But after 200 feet of the usual homeowner extension cords you MIGHT get a total of 9 amps. Meaning some of the stronger outdoor tools might not operate so well. And it only goes down from there.

Meaning you need heavy duty extension cords (12 Guage or even 10 guage) for 400-500 feet. (Not my idea of a good time laying out those HEAVY cords)
