Yes, you need the employees or you don't have a business.
Just like you need customers or you don't have a business.

But can you name ONE business that coudl work on its own
with "any old schmoe in charge?"

All the businesses I found that fell apart or had problems at the top
was due to the owners or managers with conflicts and crashed or abused the company.

So this DOES have a direct effect who is in charge and the
SPIRIT/Vision and intent/ethics of that person who INFLUENCES all the employees to do their jobs.

If you have piss poor management who is inconsistent and doesn't respect anyone,
then the workers are not going to respect ethics either.

It's not like they magically work together as a team "automatically"

Just interview workers at the POST OFFICE or Public and Private SCHOOLS,
and they will tell you how much it matters who is running management and how they
determine if the team works together or not.

Ask people who work for SHEILA JACKSON LEE how productive their
staff is, compared to other people they've worked for. Just ask workers
and find out how important it is who their boss is, what their vision and ethics are!

It's been six years, Deanie and you Progressives have overseen the worst recovery from a recession since the Great Depression. The reason for that is our President understands about as much about economics as you do and is clueless about what creates jobs. Demand without anticipated profits will NOT create jobs. Investment capital comes out of "hiding" from tax shelters when venture capitalists anticipate profits. If you reduce those potential profits by threatening to raise taxes or pass new legislation that will increase the cost of doing business (two things which the Obama Administration has done over and over again for six years!) then you WILL decrease the amount of investment and you will not see substantial job growth.

-Companies with 300 employees or less, employee expenses above the deduction are subsidized at 100% with funds usually give back to the States.

-Adjust Social Security and private/public retirement and pension payments using 1970-2013 price structure. Remove the FICA limit.

-Back down ALL costs, prices, fees, to January 1, 2009 levels and hold them for 10 years which will eliminate inflation.

-Recall ALL off-shore investments tax free, and disallow any further off-shore investments.

-Make inversion illegal.

I have two college degrees under my belt (one in engineering) as well as 25 years of industry experience. Come back when you have something equivalent.

A degree doesn't necessarily equate to employment unless you have a skill that has come in great demand. How many computer programmersflt the need to look into other careers, simply because the market is saturated and their chosen field no longer carries any value? You are only as valuable as a worker where your skill becomes relevant. If you can't adapt to the changing careers in society and advancements in innovation (there is that "key" word behind jobs again), you might as well sit back with your 8 tracks and LPs reflecting back when your job mattered, and all your trickle up hopes can't change that.
