I've never seen someone who actually ran a business--hell, actually worked in one--express this level of ignorance and stupidity as One Percenter has. He clearly has never been to any school, much less owned anything. One Percenter refers to his functioning brain power. He is a poseur.

I personally have been in business for better than 20 yrs. , it was a process of pay as you go and grow ..................
I have had accounting teachers tell me business(any business) could not be run the way we do ...................
People are wrong, they are not all knowledgeable ..............

There is a lot of variance in how business function, but most start as an idea or dream and start small, employees are a luxury and only affordable down the road.

You may be one of the lucky one's who had a business idea and instituted a small business that was later wanted by some big business, I see it all the time, I once had the chance to work for GO Software, at the time they were unheard of .................
The man that would have been my boss, was a snot nosed kid who ran around in shorts barefooted in the shop most of the time.
He developed the first Credit Card Processing application that was acceptable for use over the internet, Amazon eventually bought him out, made him filthy rich, millions .................... but it was a fluke. He will never accomplish anything that big in life again.
Is success repeatable, are you really as smart as you would like to lead us to believe or was it just a fluke in life, something you are unable to repeat again??
Perhaps under the previous administration the environment in which your success was possible, can you repeat it in this current environment??

The business provides a structure as in : store front, office, storage, merchandise, advertising, etc, etc ........
All provided by the owner ........................
Start up capital, licensing fees, taxes, permits and other legal business related materials.

I personally built my stores from shells(did all interior renovations, electrical, etc ....) Security systems, computers and networks ..............

These things all come out of my pocket as the owner, I invested cash and labor, sweat equity .................

Now you as the employee come to me wanting a job, what do you bring but a stinky body that has not bathed in days ...................
You smell like a big skunk and stale booze, your hair is not combed and you are not wearing socks, your pants are sagging half down your ass and you want keep those damn ear buds out where you can hear what is being said..................

You are late most of the time and when you don't show up your excuses are lame .................

You have federal and state quarterly taxes to pay, based on your on going records, inventory, sales, advertising, satisfying people from all walks of life, some not so pleasant, utilities, maintenance, inspections, licensing, insurance, location, overhead, etc. for starters. Add an employee and it gets complicated.

You hire a General Manager, accounting firm, and an advertising company.

Come on guys....don't you know you just snap your fingers and voila, you have a GM, an accounting firm, an ad service....LOL....that didn't take any effort...no money.

The customer base doesn't happen unless there's a product or service to sell. Supply side economics does work, you're full of shit and never operated a one man business.

Employees spend money, as the business grows it hires, builds and invests more. All of that raises the tide of economics. People wanting something doesn't do shit. People wanted cool air before air conditioners were invented.

In all fairness, he sits in his moms basement and his friends text him "dude, got any weed?" So he figures that the sales he does are driven by demand. His customers demand he sell to them.
