DoJ Investigates Bridge Closing. When Are They Going To Investigate Shutdown Closings

Speaking of vindictive political moves, the FBI has announced that it hasn't found any wrongdoing in the IRS targeting of conservative groups.

So, yet another dick move by the Obama Administration gets swept under the rug.

Or, there was nothing to it. The IRS also investigated left wing groups. Are you upset about that, or just the conservative groups?

The numbers were exponential in favor of conservative scrutiny and yes the IRS should be thoroughly investigated for its illegal acts against affiliated parties of x persuasion.

That was explained earlier, do try to keep up.

The parks and memorials weren't closed because of a political attempt at revenge.

Conservatives shutdown the government. Rules were established before hand on what would be closed in that event.

The veterans broke the law by the way.

Then why did obama allow a immigration protest at a veteran memorial? I'll tell ya, obama hates the military and i guess you do also for backing obama.

Allow?

There were multiple protests at the memorials.

It's not up to the government to allow them.

The Constitution provides protections on protesting.

The Mall was CLOSED but the Obama administration ALLOWED illegals on the Mall to protest. Meanwhile he put guards and signs at the entrances to other national areas prohibiting entrance.

If Christie is taking "full responsibility", he should resign.

The actions were illegal.

Obama should set an example for him. :eusa_whistle:

Nothing Obama did was illegal.

Over a year's worth of multiple investigations by a rather hostile and partial "investigator" has bore that out.

The investigation hasn't even started in to the Bridge scandal and ALREADY there's strong evidence the closings were completely a part of political retribution.

Democratic Governors McGreevy and Spitzer resigned. And they were under pressure to do so by other Democrats.

The democrats and their media have finally found something that can distract away from the Obama healthcare debacle. :eusa_whistle:

It's a "debacle" that's already saved the government a good deal of money and signed up over 9 million people who previously did not have insurance.

I wonder what you consider a success? The war in Iraq? 4000 Americans dead, over 100K Iraq civilians killed, the Bush administration found to be lying about it and introducing elements of Al Qaeda into the country where there was none before.

Mission Accomplished!

The shutdowns were 100% political and you know it. There is zero reason an open space has to be shut down, considering you had to have people OUT THERE to enforce said shutdown.

But because its done by your side, its A-OK. you are a fucking hypocrite, a fucking liar, and a terrible example of a human being.

The Republicans blocked the funding of the government for purely political purposes.

Where's your outrage over that?

The Repubs asked for a compromise. They asked for Obamacare to wait a year when it was ready. Obama said "I will accept no bills that change the ACA in any shape or form";........then Obama changed it after the shutdown anyway.

Obama stood firm and the government shut down, just as he planned. It was a vindictive move by a vindictive president.

Well, you can phrase it any way you want but it doesn't charnge the RELEVANT irrefutable fact,

which is that the only reason the government was ever shutdown in the first place is because the Republicans did it for purely political purposes.

That makes your call for a criminal investigation of the Administration for allegedly 'politicizing' the implementation of the shutdown,

a shutdown they were forced to implement because of the Republican's partisan political actions,

absurd.

This president is being dealt with Southern style. His misdeeds will continue to be ignored by Congress, FBI, and other agencies in the interest of not starting a race war. That is what would happen if anyone tried to hold him accountable. We both know it.

There was no violation of the law.

This was yet another bullshit scandal cooked up by conservatives to undo the popular election of President Obama.

You folks are tying to make political-hay off of a small scale version of what Obama has done over and over again.

I think it's time somebody brought some proper perspective to it.

Here's some perspetive for ya.

At least one death due to this childish act of political revenge.

A woman in an ambulance died because they couldn't get her to the hospital thanks to the traffic jam.

A traffic jam that was by DESIGN.

odd, the first responders said her death was not a result of the delay

i've seen several libs lying about this, kindly stop

Personal data discovered during an IRS review was used in adverts and used to sully the reputation of Romney donors.

That is an invasion of privacy, which is grounds for a civil suit. Obstruction of justice and perjury before Congress can be added to the charges.

Congress, in particular the House holds the purse strings under our Consitution. Funding is a legislative matter, and thus political by its nature. They also tried to fund individually anything people wanted such as parks, and monuments, and all sorts of other stuff, but the Democrats refused.

The places shut down by the administration were tailored to maximizing the impact on regular people, and thus make the shudown appear worse than it was. This is as poltiical as it gets, and is retribution not against a party, but the people as a whole.

What Conservatives did during the shutdown was a unique and unprecedented action. They tried to reverse a law that passed through 2 houses of congress, survived a Supreme Court challenge and multiple attempts at repeal by "de-funding it". This represents an attempt to unravel government by never settling or accepting a final judgement. It's a move toward Anarchy.

The house holds the purse strings, dont like it amend the consitution.

The traffic added 3 minutes to their response time.

She was already dead when the 911 call was made.

The Dems protested the Iraq War because of politics.

The GOP House wanted to prevent a trainwreak. That's it.

The abrupt end to funding of all discretionary spending IS a trainwreck.

9 million???? Let's have your stats source. How do you know they never had insurance?
Hell, the government doesn't even know how many have paid their premiums.

Saved money for the government? Really? Most that have signed up are the 55 and above category. Major portion are the subsidized.
In other words, the government will either have to subsidize the insurance companies, or the insurance companies are going to have to raise premiums for 2015.
Good yarn you have going there, sonny.

So it wasn't 'as political as it gets' when the Congress tried to selectively fund certain items that they knew were popular,

in order to manipulate public opinion from their end??

LOL, you're amazingly stupid.

When was insurance ever cheap in the individual market for people 55 or over?

Huh? The point is that there aren't going to be enough of the younger category to pay for the older subsidized category. If that happens, the insurance companies are either going to have to raise premiums (considerably) on everybody, or the government is going to subsidize the insurance companies.

Its funny progressives throw around "political" as a deragatory term when everything they do or say is as political as it gets.

All the senate had to do was accept the piecemeal funding, and keep fighting on Obamacare. they chose politics over people.
