DoJ Investigates Bridge Closing. When Are They Going To Investigate Shutdown Closings

There was no violation of the law.

This was yet another bullshit scandal cooked up by conservatives to undo the popular election of President Obama.

You folks are tying to make political-hay off of a small scale version of what Obama has done over and over again.

I think it's time somebody brought some proper perspective to it.

Here's some perspetive for ya.

At least one death due to this childish act of political revenge.

A woman in an ambulance died because they couldn't get her to the hospital thanks to the traffic jam.

A traffic jam that was by DESIGN.

No deaths were caused due to traffic congestion. That's already been bunked and dismissed. The bigger issue is how politicians are acting on vengeful tendencies towards the public, this and IRS are two excellent examples.

A closed bridge in NJ has caused the media to go nuts. Now the DoJ wants to start a federal investigation on the matter. Who's going to investigate all of the parks and memorials that were shut down during the "Republican Shutdown"?

According to reports members of the Christie Administration shut down the GWB for political reasons. It's clear that hundreds of parks and memorials were shutdown in a spiteful political move. Who's going to investigate that?

I guess all Chris Christie needs to end the investigation is re-register as a Democrat.

You manage to get funnier, but more boring, every day. That's quite a feat.

You want the Republican House investigated for shutting down the government? How bi-partisan of you.[/QUOTE]

The House didn't control the shutdown. The WhiteHouse did.

Obama chose the targets.

Like i said before, the shutdown was over Obamacare. Obama said no negotiations, so we had a shutdown. Then he ended up doing what the House wanted anyway. It was over his stubbornness. Nothing more.

Obama tried to inflict maximum pain on the American people for political purposes! I would say he is a trator, but he has always been against us from the start - thus his fungdamental change. " show me your friends, and I'll show you your future "

Christie wants those responsible for the bridge closing to be held accountable! You fucked up liberals miss the forest for the trees; you ignore Obama's pure political expediency, but morph anything you can to inculpate your opposition - you are as dishonest as your king.

Closing monuments is pain?
Yes - they mean a great deal to the vets. You know, the ones who sacrifised so much for us. They shut off the drinking fountains on the c&o canal - what do you call that?

Vets can reschedule around the Republican shutdown of the Government.....everyone else had to

A woman in an ambulance died because they couldn't get her to the hospital thanks to the traffic jam.

A traffic jam that was by DESIGN.

Here are some facts for you.

FORT LEE, N.J. — The daughter of a 91-year-old woman from Fort Lee, N.J., who died on the day of a major traffic jam precipitated by top aides to Gov. Chris Christie said on Thursday that she did not believe the inability of an ambulance to reach her mother’s house was a factor in her death.

“I honestly believe it was just her time,” said Vilma Oleri, whose mother, Florence Genova, died on the morning of Sept. 9, the first day that the closing of local lanes leading to the George Washington Bridge set off the snarls.

Ms. Oleri spoke inside her home in Closter, N.J. She said she had gone that morning to check on her mother, who lived alone in a two-story, red brick house on Harvard Place in the southern part of Fort Lee. Ms. Oleri said she called 911 after her mother went into the bathroom before breakfast and did not come out.

It took a Fort Lee E.M.S. crew seven minutes to reach Ms. Genova, after they were detoured away from the traffic accident.

Ms. Oleri said that Fort Lee emergency responders tried to revive her mother at her home, but that her mother showed no signs of life

Mr. Favia wrote in his letter that after an ambulance with paramedics from Englewood Hospital could not get to Ms. Genova’s house, it met the Fort Lee ambulance on a street. The hospital paramedics tried again, but failed, to revive Ms. Genova. She was pronounced dead at the hospital.

“We believe she died in her home, but they couldn’t pronounce her until she got to the hospital,” said Ms. Oleri’s husband, Frank Oleri. “The traffic didn’t make any difference.”

Obama is a vengeful dick who enjoys going after his enemies. He does it constantly. This bridge deal is just an attempt to attack a RINO over the same vindictiveness.

Speaking of vindictive political moves, the FBI has announced that it hasn't found any wrongdoing in the IRS targeting of conservative groups.

So, yet another dick move by the Obama Administration gets swept under the rug.

Or, there was nothing to it. The IRS also investigated left wing groups. Are you upset about that, or just the conservative groups?

The numbers were exponential in favor of conservative scrutiny and yes the IRS should be thoroughly investigated for its illegal acts against affiliated parties of x persuasion.

Darrell Issa has investigated, changed transcripts to fit his lies and wasted millions of dollars chasing windmills. Nothing to implicate President Obama has turned up in any investigation. Conservative stupidity is matched only by conservative gullibility and hate for minorities. If you are conservative have a bad day.

The parks and memorials weren't closed because of a political attempt at revenge.

Conservatives shutdown the government. Rules were established before hand on what would be closed in that event.

The veterans broke the law by the way.

The shutdowns were 100% political and you know it. There is zero reason an open space has to be shut down, considering you had to have people OUT THERE to enforce said shutdown.

But because its done by your side, its A-OK. you are a fucking hypocrite, a fucking liar, and a terrible example of a human being.

Ok, so you admit that the Republicans shut down the government for purely political purposes.

Where's your outrage over that?

And What About The Children?????

A House Natural Resources Committee investigation has found that President Obama’s Office of Management and Budget ordered that sequestration cuts be applied retroactively to funding for rural schools over the opposition of the Agriculture Department.

The committee’s report released today, “A Less Secure Future for Rural Schools: An Investigation into the Obama Administration’s Questionable Application of the Sequester to the Secure Rural Schools Program,” detailed how last February the USDA had determined 2013 sequestration wouldn’t apply to 2012 funds that had already been distributed in the program. The White House stepped in and overruled the USDA, though both agencies haven’t turned over numerous subpoenaed documents that could reveal more behind the decision.

The Secure Rural Schools program helps provide rural counties with funds for teachers, schools, police officers, emergency services and infrastructure — “necessary because the federal government had failed to uphold its century-old promise to actively manage our national forest to provide a stable revenue stream for rural counties containing national forest land,” Chairman Doc Hastings (R-Wash.) said in reference to the timber industry link.

The program dates back to a 2000 bill, which was extended in July 2012 for that fiscal year. The $323 million in funds were doled out to 41 states by the USDA in January 2013. But two months later, after sequestration went into effect, the Obama administration announced it wanted $17.9 million back — prompting bipartisan backlash from governors and congressional representatives of the affected states.

“The Obama administration appeared intent on making this sequester as painful and visible as possible, and this was another example. Instead of working with Congress to make responsible cuts and reforms, the administration took the political opportunity to go after funds used to pay teachers and police salaries,” Hastings said at a hearing on the report today.

Congress, in particular the House holds the purse strings under our Consitution. Funding is a legislative matter, and thus political by its nature. They also tried to fund individually anything people wanted such as parks, and monuments, and all sorts of other stuff, but the Democrats refused.

The places shut down by the administration were tailored to maximizing the impact on regular people, and thus make the shudown appear worse than it was. This is as poltiical as it gets, and is retribution not against a party, but the people as a whole.

The Repubs asked for a compromise. They asked for Obamacare to wait a year when it was ready. Obama said "I will accept no bills that change the ACA in any shape or form";........then Obama changed it after the shutdown anyway.

Obama stood firm and the government shut down, just as he planned. It was a vindictive move by a vindictive president.

What Conservatives did during the shutdown was a unique and unprecedented action. They tried to reverse a law that passed through 2 houses of congress, survived a Supreme Court challenge and multiple attempts at repeal by "de-funding it". This represents an attempt to unravel government by never settling or accepting a final judgement. It's a move toward Anarchy.

They attempted to prevent a trainwreak from happening.

I think you should STFU about unraveling government because Obama is all about that.
