Last week the media reported anorher J6 defender's lawyer submitted a legal motion requesting extra time to prepare based on the fact that it has been exposed that these videos exist and - despite the prosecutions' LEGAL MANDATE / REQUIREMENT to turn all exculpatory evidence over to defense attornies - prosecuting attorneys / the DOJ had withheld it from them.

These reports prove withholding this exculpatory video is NOT just a 1-time accident but is an INTENTIONAL, CRIMINAL TACTIC being used by the DOJ / prosecutors against the J6 protestors!

As mentioned,several J6 defendents' teans have filed a motion requesting more time to prepare a dedense based in the DOJ Lawyers intentionally, criminally withholdind exculpatory evidence they just now have access to and must go through.

The DOJ prosecutors responded by fuling a motion To DENY their request, arguing it is ridiculous to allow trials to be delayed while defense attorneys go through hundreds of hours of video in hopes of finding evidence that would help their clients.

As the defense lawyers quickly pointed out:

1. BY LAW the DOJ prosecutors were legally required to turn over Exculpatory Evidence - THEY DID NOT. Instead they unethically and illegally, criminally withheld the evidence.

FOR THEIR CRIME they should be immediately admonished and DISBARRED.

2. IF THE DOJ PROSECUTORS HAD TURNED OVER THE VIDEO 2 YEARS AGO, during which time the J6 defendents have been in DC Gitmo awaiting trial, there would be no delay required.

BY LAW the defense attorneys are required to be given time to prepare and present a thorough defense.
