As the event got closer, with National Weather Service radar showing the event unfolding, the San Antonia office made the threat explicit, noting a very dangerous flash event.

3-7 inches fallen in the last 2-3 hours was mentioned.

The NWS issued a Flash Flood Watch 12 hours before the event ... they got it right ... stupid ... Texas Emergency Management mobilized 48 hours before the event ... they got that right ... stupid ...

Has it ever occurred to you that it doesn't matter how many people or you have in place, sometimes we just won't get it right because we don't have the ability to do so. You can have 100 of the best heart surgeons in the OR, but that won't necessarily prevent you from dying. Weather forecasting is not 100%, no matter how many people we hire. You seem to believe that this tragedy was due to ineptitude. There is no evidence of that.

There is no way you would be happy with this if your daughter woke up under water and choked to death in panic in the dark.
