Doge reduced warning and response time for the Texas flood.

Which of those "filling in" had recent experience as warning coordination meteorologist, or service coordination hydrologist in that district? The sheriff in the area said he received the early warning, and then nothing until 911 calls started coming in after the flood was there. The NWS should have been in constant communication during that time. Why weren't they? Wasn't that the warning coordinator meteorologist's job? Oh, that's right, they only had someone filling in in that position, not someone experienced in that position
You tell us, scumbag.

YOU are the one claiming to know all their titles and experience.

Just admit you are a lying scumbag and move on. You have taken a major beating for over 1300 posts. Wise up, moron.

What makes you think they would have recieved any other warnings.

The floods were on them in almost no time.

Wasnt' that the WCM job ? Who knows...you'd have to ask him...but he retired.

Lot's of jobs are left unfilled after someone retires. It happens ALL THE TIME.

As for: "they only had someone filling in in that position, not someone experienced in that position", just how do you know they didn't have experience in the job. They were filling in. You don't generally ask someone to fill in who does not know the job.

Moron.

Keep trying.

Your attempts to irritate people seem to be working.

You can't make deaths political and not pay a price.

The POS is unwavering in his willingness to sacrifice his dignity for whatever work cause he represents.

Hours between warning and flood. Yes there should have been communication.

The profuse rainfall itself should have warned the adults to evacuate the lowest cabin down by the river ...

Budget cuts be damned ... if folks ain't payin' no mind ... these things are gonna happen ... maybe we are wasting money on all these advanced expensive weather forecasting tools if no one will use them ...
thoughts-and-prayers-from-the-orange-one-v0-d8ibfgvgtwbf1.jpeg
it could be raining harder in a higher elevation area.

Sure, they had enough warm bodies but did they have an experienced warning coordination meteorologist, and service coordination hydrologist? That's who wasn't but should have been in constant communication with the sheriff between the early warning and when 911 calls needing recue started.

Link that misinformation I dare you

There is no way you would be happy with this if your daughter woke up under water and choked to death in panic in the dark.

I would not be happy, but my anger would not be misplaced.

It harmed the NWS the other effected agencies

There is no evidence of that. As I have mentioned several times before, the NWS had similar miscalculations and had late warnings issued in 2021 when they were fully staffed and funded under Biden in 2021 during the TN floods that killed 20+. There is ZERO evidence that more staff would have made their forecasts more accurate or their warnings more frequent or effective. None.

You either have no kids or you love Donald Trump more than your kids. Which one?

I think this thread needs to be pinned so we can mock to OP, BULLDOG , and her example of shitting in dead kids to whine and cry about Trump. All based on lies.

I love the fact NWS will give me a FULL 12 HOURS heads-up if any bad weather is coming ... so I can protect all children, not just my own ...

But then again ... I love children so much I actually educated myself about weather statements ...

A flash flood watch (SAME code: FFA; also referred as a "green box" by meteorologists) is severe weather watch product of the National Weather Service that is issued when conditions are favorable for flash flooding in flood-prone areas, usually when grounds are already saturated from recent rains, or when upcoming rains will have the potential to cause a flash flood. These watches are also occasionally issued when a dam may break in the near future.

Countries such as Australia also issue similarly worded warnings

NWS brought in extra staff to handle the situation ... besides ... [giggle] ... budget cuts won't happen until September ... ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ...
Not sure when budget goes into effect, but people have already been fired.

Welll ... it appears you are wrong about the San Antonio Forecast Office ... and the effects of admin cuts at NOAA on the rank-and-file forecast staff at NWS ...

You might want to check on staffing cuts at the local level ... Kerr County is known as a bunch of total cheapskates ... too expensive to evacuate so they didn't call for one ... the local alert system wasn't activated until 10 am the next morning ...

Texas hates women and children ...

How many fuckin' retarded threads do you plan to start on this?

Quit being a fuckin' dick.

You realize you are holding on to the shitty end of the 80/20 stick don't you?

All you do is serve to remind everyone how evil you people are.
Where was ICE Barbie all weekend when people were being swept away & dying due to that catastrophe? ******* around on social media conducting a poll on what painting of her should hang in the statehouse of S. Dakota, that's where. And you wonder why people are pissed & demanding answers?

Today she was on Fox & Fiends & right on cue blaming CNN for her stupidity & outright incompetence. She should be fired. Like yesterday.

Specifically, the Austin/San Antonio NWS office, which was responsible for forecasting in the flood zone, had six job vacancies at the time of the disaster. One of the most critical roles missing was the Warning Coordination Meteorologist, a position that serves as the vital link between forecasters and emergency managers That particular employee was given the choice of retiring or being fired in April. He chose retirement to preserve his retirement benefits.

They had extra staff on hand, and warnings went out per NWS guidelines.

You are a lying sack.

Already been through this a couple times. Doesn't matter how many warm bodies were there if they weren't experienced in the position.

Yes, we have covered your lies on this.

Still waiting for you to list the experience of all those extra folks there.

GO!

Oh, and you are still a scumbag who is shitting on dead children.
