Gotcha. To clarify, human nature. We get flash flood warnings etc here often. We've been in a drought for two years, but beore that, squalls coming through from March - August were exceedingly common. Going into the weekend it was supposed to rain Friday but not bad and thats about it. If you get a warning that means be careful when driving etc. what we don't get is nearly two feet of water driving a 30 foot tidal wave.

Yes, but at that point its night time, reception is bad etc. Again not their fault. Even being on the ball trying to shepherd hundreds of kids would have been a logistical night mare, and they didn't have the time, at least at Mystic.

We also have to remember, it wasn't just one camp. We lost people in multiple counties, and multiple communities were cut off. You may be evacuating but if you get cut off because your evac route is under water, you're pardon the pun, up shit creek.

It is following a devastating headcount reduction in the office. As a paying public it is up to the NWS and Trump administration to show us they aren’t connected.
