Doge reduced warning and response time for the Texas flood.

Well, what can we blame Trump for?

DOGE cuts to NWS
Reduction in the role of FEMA

It demonstrates a lack of concern for protecting the American people and de emphasized disaster relief
Which agency within NWS? The most or least important ones in wether forecasting? The National Hurricane Center? The Storm PredictionCenter? National Centers for Environmental Prediction? Or Climate Prediction Center?

Liberals have lost their mind. It just keeps getting worse with them. Now Trump is being blamed for a flash flood where people know these things happen consistently and advanced warnings were issued.

The most incredible thing is that liberals are not embarrassed by this level of insanity. They view this as a badge of honor.

FAIL

You have yet to prove a single lie

That is all Nostra ever does.
When confronted for proof of his FAKE claims, he responds like this......
'It's not my responsibility to find your lies.'

Examining the statistics for 2023 turns out the most skillful forecasts for each city was from the private sector (see table below), with weatherchannel/weather.com (WC) typically in first place, except for a few cities where Microsoft (MS) was the best. The National Weather Service is not the best anywhere.

"Crazy people don't know they are crazy." (I've read it in somebody's post. But is is true.)

This area is called “flash flood alley.” These people expect these foods and they expect them to only be at a certain level. They will take some precautions, but these floods are so routine that the people tend to trivialize the possible impact.

If someone lived 20 feet above the river they reasonably believed they were safe. No one expected a 26 to 30+ foot rise in the river in such a short period of time.

Then there’s this growing mindset in America that the federal government is responsible for everything pertaining to your personal life and well being.

It’s gotten so bad that people will not take action to save themselves unless the federal government steps in to hold their hand and lead them through the process.

There’s an old saying. Failing to prepare is preparing to fail. When one lives in these areas consistently hit with extreme weather events it’s not the federal government’s job to force you to be prepared.

Doge taking a chain saw to our weather monitoring and warning systems and to FEMA has made the tragedy of the Texas flood even worse than it had to be. Those agencies were in place for a reason, and should have never been degraded by someone who didn't even understand why we need those agencies.

Yes, it's quite possible that victims of the recent Texas flood could have received earlier or more effective warnings if not for cuts and policy shifts tied to the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) and former President Donald Trump's administration.

🌀 What Happened in Texas?

On July 4, 2025, catastrophic flash flooding struck areas along the Guadalupe River, leading to fatalities and widespread emergency rescues. Local authorities issued urgent warnings, but the scale and speed of the flooding overwhelmed many systems.

🧩 How DOGE and Trump’s Policies May Have Affected This

According to investigative reporting from the Texas Observer and San Antonio Current, the Trump administration’s DOGE initiative significantly impacted federal disaster preparedness and response:

  • FEMA Cuts: DOGE slashed FEMA’s workforce by about 20% and froze parts of its funding.
  • Disaster Aid Shift: Trump announced plans to phase out FEMA and shift disaster response responsibilities to individual states, arguing governors should handle emergencies independently.
  • Climate Risk Data Degradation: DOGE reportedly dismantled or degraded federal resources that track and model climate-augmented weather risks, such as flood forecasting and early warning systems.
  • Infrastructure Investment Delays: Federal support for flood prevention projects—like levees and drainage upgrades—was reduced or delayed, leaving vulnerable areas more exposed.

🧭 Could Earlier Warnings Have Been Possible?

While local agencies like the Harris County Flood Control District did issue warnings, the broader federal infrastructure that supports early detection, modeling, and communication of extreme weather risks may have been weakened. This could have:

  • Reduced the lead time for warnings
  • Limited the accuracy of flood forecasts
  • Slowed coordination between federal and local responders

So while it's speculative to say definitively that lives would have been saved, the evidence strongly suggests that federal cuts and policy shifts under DOGE and Trump made Texas—and its residents—more vulnerable to disasters like this one.

Bull Dung sets a new low in his Trump bashing. The anguish of the parents never even entered your mind. You just saw another chance to bash Trump.

Well Texas……here is what you voted for
Only trouble is He hasn't done it yet.

BTW, you see this quote from an NYT article posted earlier in this thread?

In an interview, Rob Kelly, the Kerr County judge and its most senior elected official, said the county did not have a warning system because such systems are expensive, and local residents are resistant to new spending.

“Taxpayers won’t pay for it,” Mr. Kelly said. Asked if people might reconsider in light of the catastrophe, he said, “I don’t know.”

The TDS left has no agenda so they use a tragedy to try to score political points and the lying bastards in the media help them. They conveniently forgot about Biden's FEMA refusing to help the North Carolina flood victims if they had a Trump yard sign.

Here's some links btw, for when any one of the idiot libs chimes in with their ubiquitous 'LINK?' responses...

I asked a legit question in post #
Only deafening silence is the "answer." The heartless - happy about fellow humans' tragedy - lunatics chose not to answer but imagine a political victory in their sick minds.

Does it matter?

Do you think this tragedy in Texas is the end?
We are just entering hurricane season. We see floods, earthquakes, fires, tornadoes every year. Many worse.

Trump wants to terminate FEMA and leave disaster relief to the states

Texas, are you ready?

So, which agency belonging under the NWS administration will be cut most?
