DOGE costing the taxpayers $135 billion

Most states have a more powerful "EPA department" than the feds to handle lead contamination.....States need to get off the .gov tit and do their own work.....They were likely looking for the feds to do their job for them.....And pay for it too.

Come to that I'm not even sure what the fuckin' CDC has to do with lead contamination issues in the first place. :dunno:
Most states can't fight powerful corporate polluter influence. I live in Missouri that produced 93% of all US lead from our lead mines. So most of our underground water mains & under street service lines to the property line meter are lead. We had no chance of getting them removed without the Federal Government CDC & EPA stepping in to push the issue & provide zero interest loans to utilities that replace those lead lines.

33 years ago I replaced all my waterlines out to the property line & complained to the water company to replace their lines. Nothing happened until Biden's Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 that provided $26 billion to support the EPA rules to replace those lead pipes. Thanks to that EPA funding they finally replaced all the water lines to my property line in October 2024, creating man US jobs.

Utilities will repay these loans & US citizens will be healthier & live more enjoyable productive lives that don't burden the healthcare & justice system.

The EPA & CDC also got the lead out of automotive gasoline that was polluting our air & ground water with lead making US citizens dumber & dumber causing US to fall behind Asia.

In other words, instead of standing on your state reps to get things done you want me and other American taxpayers to pay for it through the federal .gov.....Got it. 😐

Classic Voodoo economics from Big Govt Democrats. We are too believe that keeping redundant workers on the taxpayers payroll and then rewarding them with a LIFETIME PENSION is good for taxpayers. What do you want, the Federal Govt to continue expanding sucking up an ever larger piece of the revenue pie? DOGE is the ONLY CHANCE we have of righting the ship.

Musk prancing around a stage, waving a fucking chainsaw, is pretty much the symbol of this thing.

Yes, it’s always good to make government as efficient as possible. But no, not like this. Not like a caveman.

You do understand it wasn’t a real chainsaw right?
