You can call it Democrat, Democratic, or Democwat, or Demorat, and at least people know what they represent. However, it's difficult to determine what the "new newer far right conservatives" wish to call themselves if not Republicans. Wanna take a stab at it?

The reason why the democrat party is accepted as the party name is because "democrat" has always been used as a noun without offense intended nor taken. If the dems really wanted to turn this one around they should start using "democratic" as a noun. As in, Truthmatters is a registered democratic.
