Zone1 Does the Bible endorse slavery?

(Gen. 9:25-27) "And he said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren. And he said, blessed be the LORD God of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant. God shall enlarge Japheth, and he shall dwell in the tents of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant."

From Shem, Ham, and Japheth come all population on earth now. And the blessing and curse are still in existence as it has never been revoked.

(Lev. 25:39-40) "And if thy brother that dwelleth by thee be waxen poor, and be sold unto thee; thou shalt not compel him to serve as a bondservant: But as an hired servant, and as a sojourner, he shall be with thee, and shall serve thee unto the year of jubile:"

(Lev. 25:44-46) "Both thy bondmen, and thy bondmaids, which thou shalt have, shall be of the heathen that are round about you; of them shall ye buy bondmen and bondmaids. Moreover of the children of the strangers that do sojourn among you, of them shall ye buy, and of their families that are with you, which they begat in your land: and they shall be your possession. And ye shall take them as an inheritance for your children after you, to inheirit them for a possession; they shall be you bondmen forever....

For Israel, if an Israelite is sold to another Israelite he is to be treated as a hired hand. And then granted freedom in the year of Jubile. But of the heathen who the Israelite buys, he is a servant forever.

If Ancient Israelites, had had the understanding of the Gilgul Cycle of Judaism that could be compared with the understanding of Rabbi Yeshua - Jesus, on this topic, then being a slave to an Israelite could have been a vastly different situation than would be the case if somebody was a blue collar worker in almost any Gentile nation on earth?

As he passed by, he saw a man blind from his birth. 2;And his disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” 3;Jesus answered, “It was not that this man sinned, or his parents, but that the works of God might be made manifest in him. 4;We must work the works of him who sent me, while it is day; night comes, when no one can work. 5;As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” 6;As he said this, he spat on the ground and made clay of the spittle and anointed the man’s eyes with the clay, 7;saying to him, “Go, wash in the pool of Silo′am” (which means Sent). So he went and washed and came back seeing. 8;The neighbors and those who had seen him before as a beggar, said, “Is not this the man who used to sit and beg?” 9;Some said, “It is he”; others said, “No, but he is like him.” He said, “I am the man.” 10;They said to him, “Then how were your eyes opened?” 11;He answered, “The man called Jesus made clay and anointed my eyes and said to me, ‘Go to Silo′am and wash’; so I went and washed and received my sight.” 12;They said to him, “Where is he?” He said, “I do not know.” [John 9]

Rumor has it that before his famous ministry in the Roman Province of Judaea, Rabbi Yeshua travelled by foot and by camel all the way to India, Nepal and even to Tibet.

In Tibet He is rumored to have done something that would tend to profoundly offend most of his modern disciples.

In Tibet, he is rumored to have studied the Tibetan scriptures and THEN TAUGHT NOTHING THERE!?

Silence is taken as consent or agreement, at least up to a point!

Why would Rabbi Yeshua - Jesus in Tibet NOT EVEN COMMENT ON THE SCRIPTURES THAT HE IS SAID TO HAVE READ THERE???

How in the hek does someone that has been here for a day accuse others of being a sock?
The answer is they have been here longer. They are the sock.

The Israelites had to treat their Israelite slaves reasonably well and extend to them indentures.

Their foreign slaves, however, could be exchanged for property indefinitely, and no treatment of them was specified.

Of course these laws don't pertain to anyone today, so asking if the Bible endorses slavery as if it still pertains is kind of nonsensical.

Sacrifices of rams to god means your raping of slaves are forgiven
While not the only thing a ram was sacrificed for, it is included as a guilt offering for having sex with a slave, as well as making a distinct difference between a married slave and an unmarried slave. If the slave was unmarried, the rapist had to marry her and was never allowed to get a divorce.

Yes it does in the Old testament....
Total mischarachterization.
People become enslaved to their own vices....and becoming someone's slave was to stop their vices and addictions to where they are productive people again. So in all actuality it was a manner they could become free.

Giving drug addicts welfare has not worked in the USA....I recommend that they become forced labor.

Bond slavery in the Old testament was an established practice in the nation of Israel.
It was part of their economy and an alternative way to pay off debt. Leviticus had some detailed instructions for people who held slaves and also detailed instructions about the limits of debt.
Slavery was never expressly condemned despite the fact that there were many detailed instructions pertaining to it. It's probably wrong to say that the Bible endorsed it however it seems that for one reason or another the author of Leviticus decided not to interfere with it.
