Does the Acceptance of "Jungle Basketball" Help the WNBA?

Clark laid the hammer down on poor Angel Reese yesterday

Why does Reese try to show her breasts?

Well, you kind of did when you started asking about if athletic women look like trannies.

You put female attractiveness into the discussion.

No one would care about Caitlyn Clark if she wasn't going to be on a poster in the room of millions of teen boys.
She won’t. Again.. as Couchpotato noted.. if you think Clark is attractive, you must have very low standards (likely by necessity?)

Hey, all the looks in my family went to my brother, the Elephant Man.

But I'm happily married, thanks.

The WNBA has decided that she's hot enough to build campaigns around her.

I'm not even sure why there's a WNBA, considering no one is watching them.

90% of this "Poor Caitlyn" shit is probably manufactured. And you are dumb enough to fall for it.

Did the NBA build a campaign around MJ and Lebron because they were hot? Steph Curry ain’t exactly Brad Pitt

Agreed, it’s your woke friends that keep it alive by charity.

So you go to tantrum mode. Got it

Why would they choose someone who's middle of the road good looking instead of one of the multitudes of very good-looking women playing in the NBA? Both white and black. Your argument doesn't hold water given women like Hailey Van Lithe, Lexie Brown and Kelsey Plum play in the same league.

Actually, um, yeah, they kind of did. Jordan was largely built up not only because of his skills, but because he was telegenic enough to star in movies.

Not my woke friends. I'll call out "woke" when it deserves it.

I just don't go around like you jokers do claiming everything is woke that doesn't appeal to your white bread nonsense.

So you go to tantrum mode. Got it
Let me guess. You are probably one of these people who think wrestling is real.

There are good-looking women in the NBA? Really?

Except she isn't "better", she's just more attractive. So she's making money on her looks and getting the endorsement deals and such.

Or maybe she isn't as tough as the other female players who were hired for their athletic ability.

Do they want to turn the WNBA into the Lingere Bowl, that's fine. Just don't pretend it's about the athletics anymore.

Or maybe nobody really cares about the WNBA to start with.
She is orders of magnitude better than 99% of the WNBA players. Clark could play on a men's college basketball team and do pretty well.

Very few other players in the WNBA could do that.

The "major" sports, excepting baseball, have all come to tolerate "incidental contact" that would constitute felony assaults were they committed in public. Hockey, football, and NBA fans have, it appears, come to accept and even like these displays of male aggression in the context of competitive sports.

But is that same phenomenon an enhancement of womens' basketball or a flaw what repulses their would-be fan base? Last year's television viewing numbers find more than twenty games involving Caitlin Clark that had viewership of more than a million, while there were ZERO games without her that drew that many viewers.

CC is conspicuous for playing aggressively but without physically assaulting her opponents. She is regularly assaulted, often with no penalty called.

The WNBA is a money-losing proposition, even with the enhanced viewership of the past year. Why wouldn't the owners at least attempt to control the bullshit by first, announcing to the players and the public that such conduct will no longer be tolerated, and second, making it happen. I would personally suggest suspending the coach, without pay, for a couple of games when one of these assaults occur. It would stop immediately.

What about you? Are you more likely to tune in when you know that the rules will be enforced, or do you like the muggings?

The best basketball doesn't have a whole lot of hard contact.
The what makes it the purest sport game.

Yeah that’s obviously not a typo. I see you’ve just abandoned attempting to defend your position anymore.

Naw, I just stopped taking you seriously.

Okay, if you say so.

You probably think wrestling is real, too.
