Agreed. JoeB131 is way out to lunch.CC is not "pretty" in any conventional sense, except that looking health is attractive. If you saw her waiting tables at Diner, you would not think her out-of-place, as you might with a truly pretty young lady.
Agreed. She is one of the best at playing basketball her way, which is generally within the rules. She is not the best at Jungle Basketball, as she can be neutralized by "handsy" defense that is not called.
Angel Reese, on the other hand, lacks the basketball skill to play professionally (can't dribble, pass, or shoot), but she can definitely excel at Jungle Basketball because she is relatively strong, large, and brutal.
1. There is far different utility to a CC than to a Reese, but they are on way different levels, being that Reese isn't on CC's level at all as far as skill/scoring, movement, basketball IQ, etc. You only have to watch Reese play for 30 seconds to realize she's uncoordinated, unable to shoot, has no finesse or touch, and is often aimless and tunnel-visioned on the court. That being said, she has a "Draymond Green" type of utility for team.
2. The problem becomes when woke organizations like the WNBA and ESPN try to put Reese ("Draymond Green") on par with CC ("Lebron James, Steph Curry, etc."). They mention these names interchangeably discussing the league when it's clear that Clark is the star, and quite frankly other players belong in front of Reese if we're going by how good of players they are. Reese has just embraced the BLM/woke narrative, so the activists in the organizations are going to exaggerate her for the good of their cause.
Is this what WNBA fans, and would-be fans want to see? I think not.
Regardless of what fans want to see, this is just further proof that women's basketball is just not effective. "Jungle ball" can be very entertaining at times, but skilled players know how to overcome it. Too many WNBA players aren't able to make sure the uncoordinated, bumbly Angel Reese isn't effective.. that's a mark on the league. Again, just watch her move, watch her hold the ball. It's like watching an 8th grade player who just happens to be very tall.
Most boy's High School state champs would roll any WNBA team by 10-20 points, and the best state champs in the nation would roll the WNBA Champ by 20 easy.
