Man arrested for throwing dildo on WNBA court

It’s not easy to defend the young guy’s behavior. Minimally, it’s disturbing the peace.

While that’s true, I also wonder:

why go to a game just to mock the suspected sexual orientation of some of the players? Not so much “criminal” as just plain stupid.

Ask the drunks who go to a ball game that then run out onto the field.

I am not defending him but come on, disturbing the peace? The guy was just being stupid, or he probably thought he was playing a funny prank, or something.

If some kid came up to me and threw a dildo near me (as long as it wasn't at me), I'd just step aside and think to myself he is probably the offspring of some class-less crack whore.

When did throwing a green rubber dildo on the court become the proper way to express your enthusiasm at a women's basketball game? That certainly wasn't on my bingo card.

Who is Delbert Carver? What we know about 23-year-old accused of throwing sex toy on WNBA court

A person accused of throwing a sex toy onto the court during the Golden State Valkyries' 77-75 victory over the Atlanta Dream last week has now been charged with several offenses. Delbert Carver was arrested on Saturday, August 2, and booked at the Clayton County Jail in Jonesboro, Georgia.

Carver is 23 years old and has been booked on counts of disorderly conduct, public indecency/indecent exposure, and criminal trespass. However, he was released on an undisclosed bond on Sunday, August 3. Clayton County court records obtained by USA Today said that the case is "pending," and a court date has yet to be determined.

A green object was thrown from the crowd, by Carver, at Gateway Center Arena during a game on July 29. The object ended up near the top of the free throw line. A law enforcement officer retrieved the sex toy using a towel while officials allowed the game to be continued.

During the third quarter of the Valkyries' game against the Chicago Sky on Friday, another sex toy was thrown onto the court. However, no arrests have been made in that incident.

The WNBA later warned people against throwing objects on the court, saying violators would be "immediately ejected and face a minimum one-year ban," and could be “subject to arrest and prosecution by local authorities." "The safety and well-being of everyone in our arenas is a top priority for our league," the WNBA said in a statement. "Objects of any kind thrown onto the court or in the seating area can pose a safety risk for players, game officials, and fans. In line with WNBA Arena Security Standards, any fan who intentionally throws an object onto the court will be immediately ejected and face a minimum one-year ban in addition to being subject to arrest and prosecution by local authorities."

His actual crime was buying a ticket to a WNBA game.

The league is a money loser. So, someone has to pay for it. The league should play in mid-size college stadiums. And would most likely folded without the sucker fans and TV sports network subscribers paying for it. We see sports networks taking on more sports though. I would rather see my monthly TV bill reduced with what I want. Not what is forced on me. I would believe that ESPN's college and NFL games keeps them controlling the sports fans and sub scribers. ESPN now is getting a stranglehold on the NFL as they purchased the NFL Network and will combine with it. We were always told that there would be choice. We do not have true choice while forced to watch games in many areas on major networks that may suck. The NFL is a god. 32 teams currently. And the truth is only several have a chance to win it all with a surprise team or two added.

Seems like a stupid teen boy prank but pulled by an adult. Probably a candidate for the INCEL castration thread.

You don’t have to pay attention. I find the drama around the Caitlyn Clark player quite entertaining.

Lol… looters and illegal alien murderers and rapists got off far easier.
