Washington and the slaver Founders lived and died as Slavers of an American Slave State and there were always Christians within that Slave State that opposed slavery. William Lloyd Garrison, Frederic Douglass, Sojourner Truth, many of the great abolitionists of the time were Christian. Their views didn't need to evolve. Slaver Christians and their slaver culture needed to be defeated.
