I understand there are two options...a contested convention or a brokered convention. A contested is one where no one gets the 1270 delegates in the first ballot so the option for delegates to "vote their conscience instead of the voting in their states is opened.

A brokered convention is when another candidate can be brought in, for example, Mitt Romney for delegates to consider.

The GOP is so shattered till there is no one capable of brokering it. I suspect there will be a contested convention.

We may have a pretty good idea after March 15. At this point, Trump looks good and Romney looks bad.
