Based on the responses here, it looks like the left is supporting illegal drugs, smugglers, and addiction. People claim to hate slavery, yet they seem to be backing this kind of slavery. And I keep hearing the term “alleged cartel boats.” They don’t seem very alleged to me.

Think about it: what could possibly justify the kind of expense cartels put into these operations — the lives lost, the cost of the boats, the modifications, the extra fuel tanks, and the rotating crews needed to travel nonstop from South America to U.S. waters? Other than drugs, what commodity would make that worth it? Do you really think someone would risk day‑and‑night travel across open water just for the thrill of reaching another continent?

If that were the case, the first time one of those boats got blown up, they’d lose interest. But instead, they keep coming. People should know better by now, and they shouldn’t be running these boats. If someone chooses to enter a battlefield, they’re choosing to put their own life on the line.

That’s why I agree with Trump’s war on drugs. It’s time to get serious — it’s been time for a long while. Critics said he couldn’t stop the swarm of immigration across the border, well, he did. I believe the same determination can work here too.

People who push and import drugs into the United States are killing and enslaving Americans. Tell me that addiction to drugs is not a form of slavery—it is. Drugs are addictive, and people will steal or do whatever they have to in order to get the money to buy them. This causes most of the crime in our country, much of the violent crime if not most. So I think it’s legitimate. I just wish that Congress would declare an actual war—not against any particular country, but against the organizations themselves—and specifically authorize strikes at sea. Drug smugglers caught at the border should be arrested by the military and sent to Guantanamo. Away from the border, drug arrests would be handled by the DEA.
