I do understand your position. The problem is that you can't start The War on Drugs by legalization of Marijuana. Technically you can and you actually did it, but then your position seems morally weak and just as another false pretext for your aggression against another independent but oil-rich state.
And when, doing so you seizure a tanker with 30% of Russian oil it doesn't seems like you want to establish any kind of agreement with Russia. It means that you are asking for problems and Russia can create a lot of problems (and your humble servant might become a part of those problems).

But there is no reason to go barbaric in all those things. If your government send you (or anybody else) to fight somebody who looks like too professional for Venezuela's (or California's) militia, and you are deeply in shit - turn you radio to frequency 149.200 without encryption and call for Volga. They'll tell you how to surrender safely.

Money is the lifeblood of the drug trade. Drain the blood, the critter dies.
US bank are sitting on hundreds of billions of US Treasuries that took a massive hit when Powell spiked interest rates. They are “held to maturity” and cannot without causing a massive balance sheet hit. In addition there are commercial real estate loans on properties no longer worth par.

The Fed is back to pumping in tens of billions in liquidity to support US banks

The cartel money helps US banker sleep slightly less horribly at night.

That's how people actually see this War on Drugs.

If you are a ship…..pull them over and search

Attacking without warning with a missile because “they look suspicious “ violates international law
And it also violates basic ethics.

Imagine all these "Christians" going around saying "kill, kill, kill".

Drug running is not a capital offense warranting death

Pulling them over and demanding they stop for a search is warranted. Shooting if they refuse is warranted.
Sinking without warning is not warranted

Killing survivors is a crime

Yep, but MAGA supporters have shown they will agree with ANYTHING (think the Germans in WW2) that they're told to agree with.

they (the cartels) are killing our people Zeb......i've seen it firsthand.....

all conflict on this rock has some sort of economic motivation , which is exactly what's happening in your back yard , this just happens to be on ours

Not so sure crooked bankers sleep all that well.

This video reveals the massive money laundering schemes of the cartels, probably more complex than the drug side of the business.

It also suggests that drug enforcement isn't really serious about fighting the drug war. It's more of a cat and mouse game to them.

It also strongly suggests that we should be attacking the money at its source, the drug addicts and other users.

My sincere condolences. One of my friends died because of heroin made in US-controlled Afghanistan. It is disgusting thing. But if you don't want to cooperate with us in making world better - why should we?

Did you study Opium Wars? China didn't want to buy English (made in India) opium and then England (allied with France and the USA in Second Opium War) forced them to "open market" and literally robbed the country and occupied it's parts. May be, there is some kind of poetic justice in Chinese retaliation, talking about moral part of the conflict. May be, there is a sort of poetic justice in the way how the Indians (some of them) take their land back. But, of course, proper internationally coordinated fighting against drugs might be much more beneficial for everyone. What a pity, that Americans, in fact, are not interested in "War on Drugs" and interested in "War for oil".

Yes. And looks like the pond is getting smaller.

Yep. And right now the racketeer use false pretext to earn something that is not his.

I'd be all for it......
What a shame that you are not one of American decision-makers. They don't actually care neither about the health of nation nor about world-wide coordinated actual war on drugs.
