You’re starting out here with a classic strawman logical fallacy. I never claimed that there was any redeeming value in the Iranian regime, so you are responding to an argument that I didn’t make
In any case , Iran’s behavior in the past does not change the facts about what is happening now, or in any way justifies Trumps shunning diplomacy in favor of war. You are defending Trump based on a false premise that does not support the conclusion that war is justified, so you are also engaging in a non sequitur logical fallacy.
The fact is that no other president has had the level of stupidity to allow himself to be manipulated by Israel and to then ignore the advice of his own advisors as to the pitfals of such action- as we are seeing now. Bombing, blockades and arming the people are not viable solutions. And now that it’s gone this far, it seems as though diplomacy is not going to work either. Trump has gotten us into one hell of a mess
