do you still use cursive?

Today, the only time I use cursive is on the rare occasion when I write a check.

When I was in grade school ('55-'63), Penmanship was a graded thing. I started printing to take that weapon away from the nuns who hated boys. I would get all A's and B's, and D in Penmanship, which was the first thing anyone noticed on my report card. Never looked back.

I make a lot of notes in cursive, and I still write letters.

Was reckoning my time and realized I haven't written in cursive for a long time over ten years I think. I use the computer to do any writing. Writing in cursive is faster no? that's why we learn it. But should it be stepped down in schools to typing ?

I do still use cursive when I write cards to people but my cursive anymore looks just terrible.

I loved Penmanship, which started for me in the second grade. Imagine getting good grades for writing pretty.
