The Bracero Program ended way the **** back in 1964.
So , we had a Bracero Program in the early 1900's .

NOTHING prevented Joe BuyThem from resuming the Bracero Program IF THERE WAS EVIDENCE THAT ONE WAS NECESSARY.

The ************ had NO AUTHORITY to open the Border - no matter what

Yes, I'm one of those small government, gun owning, fiscal hawk, retired veteran liberals.

I also believe a serial adulterer, prolific thief, and pathological liar should not be president, and certainly not the moral leader fake Christians claim he is. And THAT is what really pisses you off.
But you supported a incestuous pedophile for the last four years. Oh, and he cannot tell the truth if his life depended on it. Got it!

The opposite of *biden policy.
That is not a definition of what control you are thinking of.

If that is what you want to say, all you can say is "less immigrants than Biden" but that does not mean "control" of the border.

Sure it does.

*biden was using Border Patrol to help load buses with illegals.

Let's use them to patrol and enforce the border.

What contributions?

AI generated response:

According to recent studies, undocumented immigrants contributed nearly $100 billion in taxes in 2024, with the majority of this amount going towards federal taxes, while a significant portion also contributed to state and local taxes through sales, property, and income taxes; this highlights their substantial economic impact despite their immigration status.

But you supported a incestuous pedophile for the last four years.
Wrong. Lie.

Asshole.

Oh. And. "If Ivanka wasn't my daughter, I'd probably be dating (*******) her."

All extremes are bad. We need a middle point that comes with a compromise between the parties, the costs involved, and the way to do it. Even then, the problem will not go away, only be somewhat controlled.

The ONLY thing that will solve the crisis is a world catastrophe where everyone has to work together to accomplish survival.

Trump will not solve the crisis, only delay it for a few months. It will come back.
It will not. You're a loon. A commie loon at that.

Trump is saying illegal aliens are costing us about $275 billion per year, but that is a lie

the reality is this:

New FAIR Cost Study: Illegal Immigration Now Costs American Taxpayers At Least $151 Billion a Year

But then, this (AI generated info) has to be factored in as well:

According to recent studies, undocumented immigrants contributed nearly $100 billion in taxes in 2i024, with the majority of this amount going towards federal taxes, while a significant portion also contributed to state and local taxes through sales, property, and income taxes; this highlights their substantial economic impact despite their immigration status.

This all means that illegal aliens cost us about $50 billion a year. Considering that getting rid of all of them will cost $315 billion and $88 billion per year thereafter, getting rid of all of them does not make sense.
It makes great sense. You can't put a price tag on the murders and rapes.

Do you honestly believe that Trump will be able to solve the border crisis? If you do, you have no clue as to what is involved and how much it will cost you out of your own pocketbook, year after year after year.
I'm glad that you admit it is a crises. Few Democrats could when Biden was in office.

He has already improved our border situation and will continue to do so. Further, sharply reducing cross border criminal entry and deporting those criminals already here may force the Democrats to bargain seriously with Republicans, which could "solve" the border crises.
Here is a meme that will give you some idea of what is involved in keeping (actually NOT keeping) the border secure

Do you honestly believe that Trump will be able to solve the border crisis? If you do, you have no clue as to what is involved and how much it will cost you out of your own pocketbook, year after year after year.

Let me begin by asking YOU a question "If you and your family were starving, facing a bleak future where things could not get better and there was a solution to the problem (migrating to a better country), is there ANYTHING that could stop you from trying?

They will continue coming and due to the fact that overpopulation continues to occur, it will get worse (not better)

One other thing you do need to know and understand.

1) how much will it cost the American taxpayer to deport all illegal aliens and keep deporting them as they come

Trump wants a mass deportation. How much could it cost?

One report estimates it could cost tens, or hundreds, of billions a year.

2) what is the cost of building the wall and keeping the border patrol in effect

The Cost of Immigration Enforcement and Border Security

  • Since 1994, when the current strategy of concentrated border enforcement was first rolled out along the U.S.-Mexico border, the annual budget of the U.S. Border Patrol has increased nearly 20-fold, rising from $400 million to over $7.3 billion in FY 2024 (Figure 1). Even when adjusted for inflation, that is an increase of over 765 percent.
President Trump spent roughly $15 billion on border barriers during his four years in office. He built a total of 458 miles. The border with Mexico alone is 1,933 miles. If the entire border built a wall, that would mean an additional $45 billion, and that is only the border with Mexico. A lot of illegal immigration is coming through Canada,

Keep in mind that all of these costs are coming out of OUR pocket (you and me)

To finish it off, someone said that no more than 1,000 illegals would come every year? That is hilariously misinformed.

People will continue to come in masses as it is big business for the Coyotes that bring them in. Neither is going to stop. Money generates innovation and miracles. There are hundreds of ways to come in and hundreds of reasons to do it. Illegal immigration will ameliorate but only to a small degree, As such, you will keep paying and paying and paying to keep the out.

I'm glad you admit that it's a crises.

If I had a family in a shithole corrupt socialist country, I would want to get them to the U.S. But if I knew that trying to sneak across the border would likely get me turned back, and even if I made it, I could be deported anytime, I would try to legally immigrate.

If I had started for the U.S. a few weeks ago under the Biden administration but found out there would not be a hotel room, a SNAP card, cash and assylum waiting for me, I would change my mind and turn back.

Do your house have walls? Why? Don't you know they don't work perfectly?

Sure it does.

You are avoiding answering the question and you know it.

You cannot define control

I have always called it a crisis. I was never in agreement with what Biden did. Then again, he did start to make changes a year ago and the crisis when he left office was at the same level as the height was during Trump's term, meaning much better than at the height of it.
He has already improved our border situation and will continue to do so. Further, sharply reducing cross border criminal entry and deporting those criminals already here may force the Democrats to bargain seriously with Republicans, which could "solve" the border crises.

There are going to be a lot of consequences to what Trump is doing. They will come in the near future. Do not sing "victory" yet.

Makes sense but then again, hunger and starvation is not a reason to grant legal status, An immigrant needs to establish persecution and likelihood of death in their country, to be granted asylum. That is the reason feew do it.

Not a choice when going back is worse

Lots of people live in huts and don't have homes

Whatever he does it'll be better than what Tater did, or didn't do

The Bracero Program ended way the **** back in 1964.

Ever since Bush, every single time a reform bill came before Congress, far right Republicans killed it.

When House Republican Minority Whip Eric Cantor put one on the table in 2014, he was primaried out of office over it.

Biden? He also put an immigration bill on the table, and Republicans murdered it.

So you are speaking out of your ass.

Somewhere around 80 percent of Americans, including a majority of Republicans, are in favor of a path to citizenship or legal residence for illegal immigrants.

But as we all know, the Republican party does not listen to the will of the people when it comes to a lot of issues.

LOL @ Biden's Immigration bill!

That had a "limit" of 5,000 Illegals a day....the penalty for exceeding that? Why, nothing!

BS thread. TDS with nothing to write about.

First you have to define what success means, if not "solves". And really, you might look up the definition for "solves". I'm positive it means done and over with. If one guy enters the USA, gee Lucky, I guess it was never "solved" then.
