All the Abrahamic religions generally have very parallel views that way. And there are individuals who are exceptions in all of them.

This is true. The reality is that the descendants of Isaac, the white, anglo-saxon (sons of Isaac) peoples have seized the inheritance already. But as the promise wasn't 'in perpetuity' we are losing it. First to go was the British Empire, next is America.

I used to.

Now, for health reasons, I don’t. Turns out, cancer likes alcohol. And alcohol doesn’t mix well with the drugs I’m still taking.

(Note: I am technically in remission. So taking stupid chances seems particularly unwise. Alas. I liked Scotch.)

At 95, going on 96 years of age, 1 to 2 heinekens a day. No more. Life is too short not to enjoy a heineken. Cant recall the last time i didnt enjoy at least one vold one on my deck. Quiet, no people. Both are huge positives.
