Quite the opposite. Using your logic, poor people from other countries will do what they need to do in order to feed their families and yet Americans won’t. If that is the case, why? Think.

Liar!Remind me what happened when we said to raise minimum wage?
The right wing said that these people working low skill jobs aren’t supposed to get a living wage and are supposed to be living in poverty.
Remove the welfare state, don't allow him or his children any governmental benefits. Roll the social clock back to 1870 and I will agree with you. A welfare state like ours is incompatible with open immigration.I’m seeing all emotion from your side.Seems to me the country needs guys like this working in our economy and making the country work.
How is anyone better off by deporting him?
But if the choice is starve or work at an unfulfilling job, nearly everyone will take the job. When social benefits exceed the income generated by low-paying jobs, people will choose not to work and live off the dole. Total welfare benefits including section eight housing should amount to slightly less than working a minimum wage job full time.A job doesn’t become more attractive because there’s no one to fill it. The job is unattractive because it’s difficult and low skill/low wage.
I'm sure he never received a paycheck large enough to trigger income taxes. He got more back than he contributed.I'm sure he had taxes withheld from every check and filed a tax return every year.
Libs identify closer to criminals than the law abidingHe had 19 years to become legit legal. He only has himself to blame
Hunger and starvation is a form of death.
Post #58 describes an internal problem in a foreign country. This is not our problem and we can't take every refugee from third world countries.See post #58 for details of what these people are going through and then answer this question "if you were living under the same conditions, what would you do?"
Um, no. I don't know where you get this from but the general attitude of conservatives regarding this issue is that no one is entitled to a living wage, not that they're not supposed to receive a living wage. And certainly no one said they're supposed to live in poverty.Remind me what happened when we said to raise minimum wage?

Did the owner know or was he just paying him under the table? If the owner knew, he/she should be held accountable as well.
I was not giving that information (on post #58) to say we should take these people. I put it out to show why these people are coming here in droves. That will not stop, no matter what we do.This is also premised on an assumption: that the person in question was suffering starvation. Was he?

Citizens of poverty and corruption-plagued Central and South American countries need to step up and do something about their own problems. I take issue with those who would not address the problems in their own countries but would come here illegally and not pay taxes, the revenue of which we can use to address our own problems here.
My son bought a house working as a dishwasher and a pizza delivery guy. Most folks can do it, if they have the want.Remind me what happened when we said to raise minimum wage?

I don't get pissed brother, I just laugh at how you must go through your days....Always wondering how many Trump voters you encounter per day, and how that bums you out....It's glorious.Must be, considering my post pissed you off.
Thanks for playing.

Their simply being here is costing us in lost tax revenue. But if we're going to count cost, was Laken Riley's life worth the cost? Or Rachel Morin's? Is any person's life worth the cost of simply saying "Illegal immigration will never end"?If we build a wall, the will dig under it or come via the ocean. If we increase border patrols, it may cause a lessening but many will still get through. We cannot have a border agent every 100 feet across our border (including Canada, Mexico and our shores.
This is a problem that has no solution. It can only be lessened. Then again, what is the cost of doing that and is that a cost that we can afford to take.
Look, there are countless of statistics and articles that show that immigrants are contributing to taxes, to the economy and to keeping the agriculture, construction and services industries healthy. Not just contributing but giving more to the economy than the costs involved. Then there shouldn't be a problem deporting some of them, even if they've been here nineteen years.

So let's forget about the gangs raping and murdering?Look, there are countless of statistics and articles that show that immigrants are contributing to taxes, to the economy and to keeping the agriculture, construction and services industries healthy. If you do not personally measure and compare the costs with the benefits, you cannot comment intelligently
This is the reality and it shows that something does need to be done but not to the extreme that Trump is taking this too:
