Which countries are growing and which ones are shrinking? I want to assess their ability to make that determination. I agree the replacement rate is not being met in some countries because of a lowered birth rate, but it will take a long time to overcome countries with much higher birth rates. The first sign of human overpopulation is the fresh water/wildfire issue. There are too many humans consuming too much of finite land based fresh water. That is drying out vegetation and causing it to burn. CO2 FRAUD misdiagnoses that, which is why it has gotten progressively worse.

Desalination is a Band Aid. The human population is already too large.

Scared? Lol. Just explaining to you that the falling birth rate will cause problems. Think of it this way, if the population falls to the point that every woman in the world would need to have 4 children to sustain it, what is the likely hood of that happening?

Until then, using that as a metric for allowing continued large-scale immigration is not an effective political argument.
