Do you believe that we are now or will soon be overpopulated?

OR, we could choose to just have a smaller population and remain AMERICA, instead of being absorbed into the shitty third world.
I believe we are on the same page in this context.

The places that are stil producing surplus populations are not anyplace we want to be more like.

When was the last time that figure was calculated, where did you get it, who calculated it and how was it determined?
The population bust has been going on for decades.

6 trillion?
Where did they all go?
I am no longer concerned about over population. 1 in 3 young men hasn't had sex in the last year.

Researchers from Indiana University say that nearly 1 in 3 U.S. men, ages 18 to 24, reported no sexual activity in the past year.

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Sexual frequency is declining in the United States

consistent with findings from studies in the U.K., Australia, Germany and Japan.”

“The decreases are not easily explained by a single shift, such as health status, technology, access to pornography or stress,” Herbenick said. “There are likely multiple reasons for these changes in sexual expression, and we need more research to understand how these changes may be related to changes in relationships, happiness and overall well-being.”

The study of sexual frequency is particularly important in light of the COVID-19 pandemic’s impacts on relationships, Herbenick said. Declining sexual activity among adults has consequences for human fertility and health – consequences that have been exacerbated by pandemic-era restrictions.

The proportion of adolescents reporting neither solo masturbation nor partnered sexual behavior increased from 28% of young men and 49% of young women in 2009 to 43% of young men and 74% of young women in 2018.

What part of fertility rate and population growth being different do you not understand? It's math and it's hard i know. Have a child explain to you that our population is not declining because people aren't dying as soon as they once did.

Well we currently are. Each year we celebrate earth day. The day in which we consume the amount of resources appropriate for this planet. We used to not consume as much as we could. Way back when. Then suddenly our population doubled, doubled again, etc. and earth day is now in August. In other words we are over consuming natural resources. Fish, sand. Can you believe we are running out of sand? Look it up. How much oil is in the ground?

Based on current consumption rates and proven reserves, the world is estimated to run out of economically accessible oil in approximately 47 to 56 years, placing the timeline around 2070–2080

One more thing. I think the studies I'm showing are from 2018 or 2020. That's before covid. I think covid fucked up our society too. Made people anti social. An entire generation, my youngest nephews generation, are even WORSE at approaching women. And I don't think these young women are any better at getting guys attention either.

Late night host Bill Maher urged young men who are struggling with women to look inward and address the underlying causes of their situation, while also acknowledging that they were "born in a society that said just being male was toxic."

the problem all women are facing is that "they're living in a world full of guys who are afraid to even make eye contact without an NDA."

"The younger generation of men caught the backlash from like 5 million years of human history, and I feel for you guys," Maher said. "You were born in a society that said just being male was toxic. And in a world where everything you said was mansplaining, and everything you did was an eye roll and merely approaching a woman could get you canceled, it got very easy for men to just give up."

He added that when men eventually gave up on pursuing women due to societal pressures, platforms like "Pornhub and Tinder and OnlyFans were right there to take up the slack."

"Thing is, the technology changed — women didn't," Maher asserted. "They still want eye contact and face-to-face conversation, and also a pair of balls would be nice."

The "Real Time" host quipped that "in the real world," unlike on the internet, "when a girl blows you off when you ask her to dance, you can't just type ‘F--- you’ and log off. You have to take that long walk of shame back to your table to tell your friends, 'Uh, no, she's a lesbian.'"

Lol. It is not the conservative men who are having the problem.

My background is trig and calculus. I doubt you are as mathematically inclined as I am. I understand the subject completely. Matter of fact, I pointed out the the population will continue to grow because births exceed deaths. But, that too will end.

And we have frittered our time away with bullshit like solar and wind when we could have built nuclear.

I taught math. The only reason I don't have a degree is I went to 2 different universities. I have the most technical degree in history you will ever see, with course work in math, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering., industrial engineering and computer science.

That is merely an assumption on your part. Let me know when that happens because right now, it may be a century or close to it. It may be sooner after an unexpected pandemic or nuclear war. Why worry? There's nothing you can do to change it.

The current population size of 8 billion plus is temporarily possible with fossil fuels. The world won't have much of a fossil fuel industry past this century. M. King Hubbert knew that in the 1950s. Peak oil was in approximately 2008. USA peak oil was in the early 1970s. Peak coal hasn't happened yet, but coal mining and transportation become more expensive with higher oil prices. As resources of all types become scarce, we can expect land use to become harder and more destructive as people struggle to survive. The carrying capacity of the earth will be lower than it was before the industrial age. Population will probably decline for a few centuries and then slowly climb up to a sustainable level, maybe a billion.

OMG, we have another person who lost touch with reality! Peak oil never happens as predicted, dumbass! Peak oil was revised numerous times after that with new reserves of oil found all over the world. We currently do not drill for oil in the Arctic because of expense, but you can be damned sure it is there! You just haven't kept up to speed. According to AI, peak oil now will continue to rise until the year 2050 not the 1970s as you claimed.

Read this: "In 1974, Hubbert projected that global oil production would peak in 1995 "if current trends continue". Various subsequent predictions have been made by others as trends have fluctuated in the intervening years."

I case you wondered, I just proved you wrong. How? Because Hubbert was wrong about the 70s and he was wrong about 1995 also. He is credited with devising the way to calculate it, but he kept using the wrong data because more oil was proven to exist. That is why it must constantly be revised.

When I was kid in 1970, everyone was screaming about the coming ice age, because the Ohio River froze solid and I could have walked to Indiana from Kentucky. I don't recall it ever happening again since, but just the other day a friend posted a picture of him standing on the river on the Indiana side watching a tugboat pushing a barge through the icy water. I live now in Tennessee, and we had ice clogging the marina here on the Cumberland River.

Predictions about the future almost never come true. Most of the technology on Star Trek for the 23rd century, that science fiction predicted, have already come true., but many ar just as far off as they ever were.

I'm sorry but you do not come across as particularly bright overall.

The new reserves have been known for a while. They were left untapped because they're lower grades and harder to reach, the tar sands, shale, etc. Lower grade means they cost more energy and money to extract and refine into something we can burn. We will eventually reach a point that the remaining oil costs more energy than it contains.

AI is not a credible source for any type of information. You citing it as a source says enough about your credibility.

You obviously did not read the article on your peak oil prediction expert because it to shows peak oil now to be about 2050. I wonder where AI got that information.

Nobody when they made these predictions could imagine the advances in drilling techniques, hydraulic fracing (the correct spelling BTW) and other methods for recovering oil. Chicken Little (that's you) needs to do a little more research and a little less sweating the small shit!

I am not worried. Just stating facts.
