Finnaly caught this one, and I enjoyed it. It's a solid underdog, U..S..A!, feel good sport movie. Nothing special, and nothing wrong. (if you don't count the Carter speech in the background at one point, and I don't because that was something not so much wrong with the movie as was wrong with the country, Jimmy Carter that is)
Kurt Russel did a good job, though something bothered me about his Minnesota accent. Not a big deal at any rate. All the kids did a good job, and the hockey action, especially the big game with the Soviets, is top notch.
It's probably just as enjoyable if you're not a big hockey fan, but I wouldn't know because I love hockey (yeah, I yelled "Slashing, come on!!" at the TV).
A good movie, worth the rent.
