I haven't come across any single person born after 1890 - who wouldn't have anticipated an endless war confrontation between the newly (the UN ignoring its own charter ) founded State of Israel and any of it's neighbors, right across the Muslim world and Western nations that would foreseeable be dragged into this irresponsible mess.

Latest with the upcoming of the PLO and it's terrorist actions against a non-compromising Israel this became obvious to any one beholding common sense. With the emerge of Kissinger and Nixon it was also clear that the US would back any actions that would benefit solely Israel.

So IMO - some day (likely in the next 10 years) some big mushroom clouds will render this issue as being finalized - chapter Israel permanently closed. Unless some Middle-Eastern Muslim state manages to obtain nukes - so as to keep Israels expansionist agenda at bay, thus without the big nuclear wielding countries getting involved.

The only "alternative" is a reshuffling off global players ranking - resorting rather to economic means or energy alternatives to render this US-Israel alliance as being ineffective or factually financially worthless for the USA.
