one answer, one pivot.. was anyone paying attention ?

Why Social Security reform is on the ballot this year

Wallace asked if Trump would make a deal to save Social Security (and Medicare) that included both tax increases and benefit cuts. Trump did not answer, instead pivoting to a critique of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.

Clinton, focusing on Social Security, reiterated her support for raising revenue through higher payroll taxes on the wealthy, fighting any benefit cuts and supporting targeted increases for low-income workers and women.

Her response is in line with what voters want.

How many citizens and voters in america are still operating under the illusion that what voters in america want matters to anyone in the power structure?

Socialism has always knocked down the standard of living... no one ever flees from capitalism. It's the dictators and their socialism - is always the evil in this world.

when 43 was elected to his second term he said he intended to spend his political capital and address SS ... someone told him to stfu, and he never mentioned it again ... illusion or not, SS matters in the power structure.
