Reagan was a Republican. And his principles included facing the fact that the Constitution is a very fine document with some minor tweaks needed. Such as the 16th amendment that actually never was ratified should simply be cancelled. What you bring up is also true of Democrats. There is no way they are Liberals.

I am discussing crude that the Feds own today. Get it? It is not in private hands. We must reduce the debt. What is your idea? Remove cash from the economy to do what? This formula has resulted in something like 33 trillion dollars of debt. Bush was not even trying hard nor was Reagan compared to Biden and Obama.

Loopholes closed, taxes raised particularly for the uber wealthy and corporations. And most importantly SPENDING cut. The Fed does not own oil. The gubnit does NOT drill, tape or refine a drop of oil! They do buy for the SPR and sell as well. But they do NOT have the expertise or infrastructure to do all the other!
