Did ANYONE on this board see a savings from Obamacare?

I do believe that medical cost increased every year before the ACA also..

Wasn't obama care supposed to change tgat?
Republicans fought him every step of the way. How many Americans in southern states have died because Republicans hate Obama? Under Bush, medical bills were the number one cause of bankruptcy nation wide. Republicans liked it that way. They like it balls deep and the GOP gives it to them that way. Just what they want.

Huh? In the end obozo got what he wanted and despite promises premiums went up...correct?
And I'm pretty sure the number one cause of bankruptcy nation wide is still medical bills since obozo has been in charge. And to answer your question none.

Obamacare hasn't done a freaking thing.

Anyone? Anyone at all? Our costs are up 12% since Obumblecare took effect.
Did you see how much healthcare costs under bush Tom delay and Dennis hastert? It's why they lost power. Then lobbyists wrote the aca. To be continued. Want to fix it? How, with your same old tired ideas? God I'm sick of it.

You have no idea how expensive healthcare would be if not for the aca.

But everyone needs to be covered and costs need to go down.

Eventually single payer will be the way. Cut out the profit motive.

That will cost jobs? So what.

It's funny how schizophrenic you people are.

First you tell us that since the democrats have control over both houses in congress, and the presidency, that Republicans should stand back and let them do what they want.

I remember that in 2009 when Republicans were throwing a fit about it. Shut up, we won the election, we're going to do what we want.

Then the Obama administration started getting input from the insurance companies about how to craft the bill, and left-winger threw a fit. But wait, you guys won the election, you have both houses, you can do whatever you want.

So then the Obama administration pushed forward without the input from the insurance companies that warned of danger. But you still complained.... even though you had both houses and the presidency.

Now most of the co-ops have failed, insurance premiums are rising, and low-deductible policies are disappearing, and the insurance companies are again warning the system will fail.

Insurers warn losses from ObamaCare are unsustainable

So even while insurance companies are pulling out of the ObamaCare system, even while the co-ops are failing, even while the insurance premiums are increasing, even while the entire thing was written when democraps controlled both houses and had the presidency.........

You are still claiming the insurance companies controlled the whole thing? They wrote a bill that would cause themselves to fail?

Do you people ever..... I mean ever.... have a logical argument? No no, let's all act like 5-year-olds...... "It's your fault, I harmed myself, and I was forced to do what I did, by you demanding I not do it!"

...sigh....

It was a step towards single payer.

Don't you get affordable healthcare? Someone else who's poor said the get $700 a year healthcare. You need to go apply for your government handout.

Or pay on the free market like you do. We need more poor people like you to apply for your free cheese

Answer... no, I do not. As I said before........

Back in 2006, I had an insurance policy that was $67 a month.

Now, the cheapest police available is $274. Now that tax payer is subsidizing it..... that's true. But that is not an affordable policy. This is why we have all these huge deficits, that are predicted to grow massively in the next two years.

Yes, I can afford it for the moment. What happens when the money runs out? Or do you think we can just spend and borrow forever, since that worked so well for Greece? Or maybe we'll double our taxes, like most of Europe, since that has worked so well for them?

NHS Crisis: Why Are Services Under Threat?

Yeah, worked like a charm.

The answer is, no your system is failing, just as we knew it would. Socialism always fails. Capitalism always works. The more we move towards socialized health care, the more it will fail us.

Who here has decided to stick with version 1.0 of ANY software they use, instead of upgrading to new versions that eliminate bugs, and fixes glitches?

It's the same with Obamacare. What was passed is version 1.0, but Republicans have refused to update and fix problems.

Some software was crap altogether. Upgrades didn't help anything.

Obamacare 1.0 should be upgraded to Obamacare 0.0.

And BTW: What did Obama do to fix Healthcare 1.0 instead of going to a whole new system ?

Answer: Nothing.

There is no "whole new system".

If it's a "whole new system", why hasn't it affected me at all? I've had the same insurer since 1993.

Your insurance is affected by the system.

Just like mine.

It has to meet a bunch of additional requirements.

And you want insurers to have complete autonomy over who lives and who dies? dblack should accuse you of being the shill, not the rest of us.

Insurers don't have autonomy unless it's granted to them by the government; unless we're forced to do business with them.

I quoted this...and that is when I have to read the stupidity that you are responding too.

It is funny how the statement I made is converted into something that nobody but a moron could come up with.

Our insurance industry has been regulated (to their benefit) for decades.

And they love it.

Exactly. It's still Medicare for the elderly, Medicaid for the poor, employer-based insurance for most of the rest, and individually purchased coverage for the smattering that remains. The ACA just makes improvements to each.

And now that the regulations have changed to require them to cover more consumers, you seem vewwy, vewwy unhappy. Why is that?
