You are misinformed. The war funding bill in the senate could not pass without Republicans.

Republicans would not fund the Ukraine and Israel aid bill, unless the Bill ALSO included BORDER SECURITY is what Mitch McConnell told Schumer.....so Schumer and McConnell pick members of their own party to be on this committee to develop a border security Bill that could be added to to Israel and Ukraine funding bill, so that REPUBLICANS would vote on the foreign aid bill....

It was Republicans that insisted that border security and funding be attached to the Ukraine and Israel funding bill....

It was all set to pass...

Until Donald Trump the bully, made his tweet and all the Republicans senators reneged on their own request for border security to be in there due to their own cowardice.

Your statement is correct and so is mine. If the Democrats weren't so war happy trying to push another war funding package through, there could have and should have been a SEPARATE border funding bill. Our border security is far more important than feeding the war machine.
