In a Republic, actually
‘Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) said in a Thursday interview that, if elected president, he would fire special counsel Jack Smith, who brought two indictments against former President Trump, on “day one” of his hypothetical term in office.’

DeSantis exhibits his contempt for the rule of law in a pathetic, desperate, and craven attempt to pander to the base.

One has to ask, "Day one of what?"

Of course. He works for Trump. Whether he knows it or admits it.

If Al Capone could have fired his prosecutors he would have on Day One.

If John Gotti could have fired his prosecutors he would have on Day One.

If Charles Manson could have fired his prosecutors he would have on Day One.

If Aldrich Ames could have fired his prosecutors he would have on Day One.

If Robert Hanssen could have fired his prosecutors he would have on Day One.

If Benedict Arnold could have fired his prosecutors he would have on Day One.

I have a feeling DuhSantis is gonna be picking his nose or ass in July when he is still wishing he had a better primary season and has to pack up and go home.

I'm thinking it's gonna happen a lot sooner than that.

Smith is a hack in a constitutionally questionable role....Firing him is a no-brainer.

That said, DeeeSantis is desperately trying to claw his way back to double digits....He'll say anything at this point.
