They are, dope. They were processed as doing so and given hearing dates. That’s why moving them out of the court jurisdiction where they’re assigned screws then and the system. But that was always the point.
Oh shut the fuck up, you lame limp cocksucker.

Nonsense. It is quite legal to apply for asylum. Their legal status determines their illegality or not. That is only determined after being processed.
The very nanosecond that someone crosses onto United States soil without our permission they are here illegally. Under any-and-all circumstances. Full stop.

As a freshman congressman in 2013, Ron DeSantis was unambiguous: A federal bailout for the New York region after Hurricane Sandy was an irresponsible boondoggle, a symbol of the “put it on the credit card mentality” he had come to Washington to oppose.

“I sympathize with the victims,” he said. But his answer was no.

Nearly a decade later, as his state confronts the devastation and costly destruction wrought by Hurricane Ian, Mr. DeSantis is appealing to the nation’s better angels — and betting on its short memory.

The present circumstances have inspired a less swaggering posture toward a leader whom Mr. DeSantis has long called “Brandon” as a recurring troll, aimed at the man he might like to succeed. “Dear Mr. President,” the governor’s request for a major disaster declaration and federal assistance began on Wednesday.

“Ironically,” said David Jolly, a former Republican congressman from Florida, “there’s nobody in America that Ron DeSantis needs more than Joe Biden.”

Some Northeastern lawmakers, including Republicans, have not forgotten how Mr. DeSantis and some of his peers responded when the New York area was under duress. “Year after year, we had given them billions of dollars,” said Peter King, a former Republican congressman from Long Island, alluding to aid packages for Southern states and calling the resistance to Sandy relief his angriest moment in office. “Every one of them comes to New York to raise money. They either go to the Hamptons or they go to Manhattan. And both areas were devastated by Sandy.”

It isn't President Biden's money. It is the people's money. And the people of Florida are as entitled to whatever cash is assigned to FEMA and special emergencies as anybody else despite whatever opinions of anybody are held.

Sure but douchebag Republicans have taken it to an entirely new level. Only partisan retards think differently. Back at ya :itsok:

But hey, go ahead and prove that a Dem politician refused to help a city when it had been hit by natural disasters. Go.

Believe what you need to but the facts are the facts, both parties are wrong and both do it. Spare me your BS.

So, you are saying that DeSantis was a douchebag to deny aid to NY? Thanks. My point exactly.👌

Why do you idiots post links that does not back up your statements? Is it laziness or an inability to read and comprehend?

From your PolitiFact link:

But the statement leaves out a crucial relevant fact. FEMA has not denied federal aid for the Texas wildfires; it’s approved fire-fighting grants adding up to $23 million — far more than Oklahoma’s approximate $3 million in disaster aid.

It was delayed and Pelosi and co. As Sanders pointed out they delayed Covid relief funding.

LOL Now you need the Dems to help to fix your state? Why doesn't the jr douchebag use the funds he is wasting by importing/exporting illegals to fix the gulf shore?

Gad, you idiots accept no responsibility and you wonder why no one takes you guys seriously.
You're a joke - what you call a basic ass clown.
Your beloved leftists happen to own the presidency at the moment. So the governor is simply asking the president to do his job.

In your mind but not under the law.
Those processed and given an asylum hearing are by definition not illegal.

Our political spectrum is not one had on the left and one hand on the right a foot away from each other. Our politics is the two hands close to each other with the fingers intertwined about an inch or so. This while both hands have moved massively left since the mid 1960's. To attempt to curb new program after new program is prudent. Disasters we started to pay for, and it is difficult to stop. Areas like Florida though need to upgrade their infrastructures and building codes.

The bill was not voted down because of anybody's politics. The bill was voted down because of the billions and billions unrelated to Sandy that the Democrats crammed into it. Had it all been for direct relief for victims of Sandy, restoring infrastructure, etc., the vote would have been unanimous for it.

LOL Helping people affected by natural disasters is pork? Well then, we should apply the same rationale to Florida.

Lucky for you idiots, the president and the Dems are honorable people and won't play politics.
do you even know what bill it was he voted no on and the reason he voted no?

Of course, you don't. You're just playing lemming and following the smear campaign.

Not to mention that the bill had a monetary payout to them until 2020.

That is NOT an emergency bill. No emergency lasts 8 years.
