Infection requires contact. The staff are in contact with the patients. The patients are not in contact with other patients.

I don’t think we’re communicating. Coumo removed patients sick with COVID from the hospital and sent them to nursing homes. Infected patients sent to nursing homes might not be a good idea. You think?

People in nursing homes were overwhelmingly infected by sick caretakers, not other patients.

By that point in time, patients were kept in isolation and their only exposure was with caretakers.

Right? Coumo mistakenly thought NY hospitals would be overrun with covid patients, so he kicked the elderly out of the hospitals and sent them to nursing homes. This infected others living and working in the nursing homes.

His record in court is not all that great. It's especially bad when it comes to perfectly legal vaccine mandates which have been upheld almost universally.

I think that sick nursing home workers was BY FAR the biggest reason that people got sick in nursing homes, whether that was in New York or Florida. This is ESPECIALLY true when in the early days testing was so highly limited.

Nursing homes have private rooms, patients were kept away from everyone else. If the staff didn’t have adequate PPE they were supposed to notify the state they couldn’t handle the patient and then transfer to somewhere they could.
