Sounds like there's a doable compromise here: name the bases after Congressional Medal of Honor recipients.

I don't like the renaming or pulling down statues thing, but this is reasonable and nonpartisan. Communities can rename their airports, their streets, schools, bridges, parks, hospitals, whatever after their confederate great great grandpas.

I also don't like the left stirring up more division by constantly relitigating the Civil War. It was 150 years ago. Enough!

Why not name military and naval bases after some of the civil rights leaders of the 1960's. Fort Stokely Carmichael and Camp H. Rap Brown, examples given.

I have actually been to Fort Bragg and Benning.

and since the trade war began the farmers have gotten plenty of money

if you let china use mercantile tactics against the US through our farmers they will use it again in the future just as they are doing against Australia now

my advice to farmers is dont over leverage (i.e.take on debt) on the basis of selling to china cause they will bite you in the ass every time when it suits them

btw: chinas food reserves are shrinking due to bad weather conditions and they are buying plenty from our farmers at this time
