Dems are now promising to go door to door rounding up “red hats” if they win again.

They can sue me for assault their word against mine. Who’s gonna investigate it?
Who says anyone has to? They come to court, take pics of the damage done, sounds like they might have hospital bills and records, and they say what happened.

Then what? You get up and commit perjury?

Sure you can. But the jury just has to believe that you probably did it.

Ok so that means I can take the video that I have of them coming to my door asking me if I’m a Trump supporter and then when my house is vandalized, I can take that to court with me and then I can see them the same way.

The problem is in both scenarios if an investigation is not done then it’s always gonna be their word against mine

Sure you can counter sue.

I thought you said you had video?

Are you really this unfamiliar with civil law and lawsuits? It actually makes up the vast majority of law in this country

Interesting, so, they have no duty to uphold the law then
False equivalence.
"Police have no obligation to protect" you does not equate to "Police have no obligation to uphold the law".

You may not like the fact Police have no obligation to protect you, but the fact they do not cannot possibly be more clear.

So if someone is beating another person in the middle of the street, a police officer can just stroll on by and let it happen?

Interesting, I didn’t know that you could be a police officer and just … do nothing.

There are a great many things you do not know, and there are a great many things you just refuse to believe.
Case in point:
In the case you present, by stopping the assault on you, the police officer is not protecting you, he is enforcing the law.

Ahh ok, so, if you commit the beating and then they go up to the officer and says “they just beat me” the officer can say “meh, have a nice day”

lol, the point of all of this, because we’re getting into the weeds is, if someone shows up to my house to vandalize it, yes, I refuse to believe that there is no recourse, that the police can just say “meh, what do you want me to do about it”, would be asinine, even if I hire a lawyer, often a prosecuting attorney doesn’t do investigations, that is usually done by the police detectives. If you’re telling me that the detectives can simply say “nah, I don’t want to do it”, then we have no justice system in this country and yeah, at that point I would agree that they need to be defunded because at that point, justice is only served if they actually catch you doing something.

It doesn't matter what you refuse to believe, the reality is, the Govt doesn't owe you anything, they have no duty to you. They don't have to investigate or prosecute anything.

You do have recourse, it's called a lawsuit, you can also campaign against the sheriff, or local DA, raise your voice about it and make a stink to get whoever fired.

But, the Govt has no duty to any individual, the duty is to the public.

Of course.

Was not sure if this belonged in politics or humor.

Sigh, she/he /it shouldn't threaten me with a good time like that.

LOL...In my AO it would be something like this. ;)

What goes around comes around , slick. Be prepared and don't whine like a little piglet that is about to become bacon
