Classic CNN. They rip Trump for weeks about rising egg prices, so when they drop steeply, CNN basically says "Well, consumers are so fed up with Trump they stopped buying eggs, and THAT is the result of the price going down, not Trump". AND CNN says (without evidence) egg prices will spike again.

Oh, so you did not buy 10 dozen eggs? That doesn’t make you seem any smarter. The stupid thing was buying any eggs from 7-Eleven.

But, maybe that’s too harsh of a judgment. I knew an older person who was not able to drive. She lived across the street from a convenience store and that’s where she bought all of her “groceries.”

It was a seedy place with eight liners and with rolling paper being one of their main selling items. The only reason she was never robbed is that she was so old it was obvious that she would have little little money.

She was offered help by people willing to give her a ride to Walmart or a quality grocery store. But she wanted her independence and her that meant not getting help from anyone.

If that is your situation, please get help. You will be more healthy, and you will be happier. Swallow your pride, ma’am!

After hitting a wallet-busting peak of $8.17 per dozen in early March — the continuation of an upward trend from the Biden presidency — egg prices have plummeted below $4.

Despite this plunge in egg prices, the mainstream media is desperately trying to keep that information from reaching your breakfast table.
The New York Times also reported on the price of eggs last week, ignoring the sharp decline in prices by only citing February data. "Egg prices continued their upward climb in February despite some easing in overall inflation,” the paper reported, “further straining consumers seeking relief from rising prices in the grocery aisles."
Newsweek also reported on Monday that eggs are now being smuggled into the United States from Mexico due to high prices.

They're deliberately focusing on outdated February comparisons while ignoring March's dramatic price decline. Even when they acknowledge the recent decline in prices, they are finding ways to dismiss it. Why? Because they can't bear to admit that egg prices are now lower than the average levels we saw at the start of Trump’s term because it undermines the one effective talking point Democrats thought they had.

It’s no great surprise that prices would drop again. After killing of the laying hens, it would be six or seven months before the replacement hens were old enough to lay, thus re-starting the egg supply.

"Lower egg prices cause people to think President Trump is doing a good job, and that is a threat to our democracy. Therefore, egg prices must immediately go back up to their absurdly high levels. Experts are warning that while the case is appealed by the Trump Administration, egg prices could climb to over $50 per dozen. "We urge consumers to acquire eggs now," said one economist, "before another judge mandates the prices must climb even higher."

Actually nothing.... Price of eggs is going to come back down one way or another. But the noise that's been being made since Trump got elected was that he was somehow responsible for the high price and so now that the price is dropping they don't want him to be responsible for it.
