Democrats new word, Affordability!

Overall inflation was 21.2% during the four years Biden was in office, with the latest data from December 2024. Earnings rose by 19.4% during that time. So the typical family did, in fact, fall behind during Biden’s presidency. Prices rose by more than earnings, which means a typical paycheck bought less at the end than it did at the beginning.

Majority of Americans Feel Worse Off Than Four Years Ago

That's bullshit timing my friend. Wages went up FASTER than prices pre-covid to post covid. Now wages rose before prices so you cut off the wages that rose during covid before prices. I am not stupid. You'll need to come at me with some extra help.

After adjusting for inflation, wages are higher than at any point in U.S. history, and after adjusting for age and sex, the percentage of the population that is employed is around its peak in U.S. history.

People didn't stop working because of supply issues. Try again dembot
Youre lost in this conversation. No one said that. Go back, read, catch up and ask a real query.

Yes real wages went up prior to COVID during trumps first term

Post covid, during xiden and the dems policies, didn’t happen

That’s sort of the point, you all make people worse off

And yes people did go back to the trump jobs but by the time Trump was elected, UE was going back up.

Then why did you bring up supply issues when people asked why people stopped working??

You keep glasslighting, projecting and deflecting from reality to defend your poverty creating policies

struth You quoted me weirdly above in post #44 so its messed up.

Wages didnt go up during covid due to Trump policies you dipshit. They went up because employers had to pay frontline workers more to show up. Many were getting Trump money to stay home. So wages went up and when supply chain issues from Trump's shut down hit us in 2021 when Biden opened the economy prices went up due to supply shortfalls and stores had to cover those wage increases. ALL THINGS CONSIDERED people came out of covid better off than they were going in. Its crazy but true.

As he races headlong into the backwaters of history, Trump has decided that the word "Affordability" is a Democrat creation, not used enough by Republicans. Well, guess what Dumb Ass, the word has been around much longer than you have!

This clown is so out of touch with reality, that it would be difficult to justify him being president of a boy scout troop, much less president of the United States, thanks to him, a third world country!

Bigly!!!

Another vague reference that is meaningless, just like 'tax the rich', they'll never give you a measurement for it.

Wages didn’t go up during Covid because the country was shut down. People were laid off. To try and save lives.

Many states stayed open and didn’t completely shut down like NYC and Cali…many places didn’t because of supply issues like food processors

Prior to Covid real wages went up, first time in decades actually

Anyway, then the dems won, keep people at home, flushed more money in the market, flooded the country with a surge of illegals and gav le us record COVID deaths and record inflation, even after COVID ended, making a majority of the country worse off

Wrong: Wages went up during covid as you can see

WRONG: Look at wages rising under Obama, 2014-2017. Real wages rose similarly under Trump (however all at the end near covid), then crazy covid spike in wages then spike in related prices, then the grew under Biden.

Again these are adjusted for inflation meaning wages grew faster than prices.

All of that is made up too. Dems opened the economy in 2021 after Trump/Fauci recommended shutting it down in 2020 - right or wrong.

Your first link is to earnings not wages

The fact you don’t know the difference speaks volumes

The bottom line, xiden’s policies cause the majority of the country worse off, because his inflationary policies massively out paced wages that were merely trying to keep up

Xiden didn’t end the COVID shutdown until May of 2023

By then he had caused record COVID deaths and record inflation.

Ummmmmmmmmmmm, democrats were so out of touch with reality last November that they lost the working class voters, blacks, hispanics, and voters voted for a 34 times convicted felon who wants to take democracy away instead of voting for democrats.
An interesting confession from a Trumpster .

What does "affordability" really mean? It can't be enforced except in a socialist/fascist regime.

Not sure why you think Trump does not realize that word has been around. Consultants are hired by many lobbyists and politicians. I believe today's word is Strategist. They push buzz words that have brevity. They reach short attention spans. They're sound bites. Many industries do this.

Trump is good at taking these words used by liberals and turning those words on them. Remember when Fake News started? Trump took that term and laid it back on the New York Times.

I find it kinda neat how you guys hang on TRUMP!'s every word, parse every sentence and comb through every appearance on camera, desperately looking for something, anything you can complain about. It's almost as if he lives rent free in your minds and you think about him a whole lot more than anyone else does. Is it your end-stage TDS or something else that compels you to do that?
As you dumb shits got two or three years of whining about 57 states?

There are ways to improve "affordability" but Democrats are clueless about any of them.

First, the law of Supply & Demand. If you want to lower the price of gasoline, you "drill, baby drill." You open Alaska to exploration and exploitation of its massive energy resources. You open up sections of Federal lands, including parts of national parks. If you want to make housing affordable, you encourage construction of new housing units. You do NOT demand that every new development include a percentage of "affordable" units, because that mandate dramatically reduces the number of developments that actually happen.

Second is general prosperity, which invariably includes a bit of the dreaded inflation. A strong national economy results in increasing incomes, which make more things "affordable." You promote prosperity by inducing American consumers to "buy American," and working to open foreign markets to American goods and services. Democrats are clueless.

But let's see how Mamdani does in NYC with the "affordability" of rental units in the Big ******* Apple.
Your every word is wrong.

Trump is good at lying and the gullible who want to believe his lies think he's turning words around.

Your every word is wrong.
Tell us specifically how producing more oil does not lower the price of said oil.
Then tell us specifically how you can increase wages without increasing prices at the same time.

Then see why your statement is simply wrong.
