what people talk about the Levant as being confined to the land "Canaan". Where did
the Hebrews go in 800 BC?
The Hebrew were never a large group, and never controlled any significant area after the Assyrian kicked them out of Jerusalem and Jericho around 800 BC.
After they were kicked out by the Assyrians, they went back to rural living as migrant sheep herders. That is what the Hebrew were before and during their 400 years in Egypt.
They were never slaves in Egypt, and they could have left Egypt at any time.
But the next wars the Hebrew started were with the Babylonians, who also defeated them and took them into slavery.
The Hebrew were also later defeated by the Persians, Greeks, Seleucids, and Romans.
So there is no significant Hebrew history, buildings, art, architecture, science, or anything significant by the Hebrew. That is why they are not included in any good history classes or books. The Wailing Wall is clearly massive architecture that is characteristic of the Canaanites.
According to the Bible, Moses wiped out the entire Egyptian army, but we know that is false.
After the Diaspora Decree of 160, the Jews left Palestine and went to Saudi Arabia.
In Medina they met Mohammed around 630 AD, and helped him defeat the Meccans polytheists. So Mohammed actually took over Judaism out of Baghdad.
The only problem happened when the Mongols invaded in 1200 AD, and wiped-out Baghdad, leaving a void in the religious leadership.
