Democrats introduce an amendment to kill the WV pipeline again

Sen. Tim Kaine (D-VA) introduced an amendment to the debt ceiling agreement scrapping a provision to expedite the completion of the Mountain Valley Pipeline.

Kaine strongly opposed the inclusion of the MVP in the bill and has kept the possibility of voting against the debt limit deal on the table if it remains or his amendment to nix it doesn't receive a vote.

Well..that is why Republican support is needed in the Senate...so the Progressives can posture--just as the far Right shills will posture--but the middle will pass this..unchanged..since sending it back to the House is a non-starter, given the time constraints.

Playing politics with a project already approved and under construction is wrong and an issue that will not win the Democrats any points come election time. Tim Kain is wrong on this one. Let's hope those in the common sense middle can get WVP done and completed.
