One might note that the willing suspension of disbelief is usually mentioned in connection with appreciating science fiction, vampire movies, and things of that nature.
My personal reaction to the Uranium One thing* is to note that the U.S. has a figurative MOUNTAIN of available "uranium" sitting idle on nuclear power plant property, often referred to as "nuclear waste" or "spent fuel." This commodity can, with readily available technology, be re-processed and re-used virtually forever, but "we" long ago decided that it was impolitic to do so, since the same technology can be used to make weapons-grade material.
"We" will never be short of fuel for nuclear power. All it will take to harvest this goldmine (sorry about the mixed metaphor) is a go-ahead from the Deep State.
