Democrats are fighting for censorship

Their call. Why are you so willing to cede so much power to the government? To have something else to complain about later?

What do you say? Maybe allow the FBI to patrol it all?
the power is already there,, so I am not giving more,,,

if a platform has an open invitation to everyone and then starts censoring people outside their rules they either should have protections removed or be held accountable,,

whats so hard about that to understand??

Hold them accountable. Leave.

Why do you want to cede your power to the government?

Joe Biden’s administration in a Monday amicus brief pushed the Supreme Court to rule against Republican-led states’ laws that prevent online censorship.

Florida and Texas have enacted laws to stop Big Tech platforms from censoring content due to viewpoint, and the Biden administration asked for the Supreme Court to review them, according to the brief. Specifically, the Biden administration requested for the Supreme Court to rule against the states’ laws and in favor of social media companies’ right to censor.

“The platforms’ content-moderation activities are protected by the First Amendment,” U.S. Solicitor General Elizabeth Prelogar wrote in the Biden administration’s brief. “Given the torrent of content created on the platforms, one of their central functions is to make choices about which content will be displayed to which users, in which form and which order.”

Censorship is the tool of despots, tyrants and dangerous totalitarian regimes.
The Democrats fear the truth because the truth will destroy them.
Political Censorship is specifically unconstitutional in the United States.
Dude, preventing lies that can harm people isn't censorship.

You kids keep saying that. Do you not realize that truth vs lie isn't subjective?

The government said it wasn't spying on us. They sent a representative of the government to tell us under oath it was not spying on us. The government claimed those who said the government did was telling a lie.

Which was the lie and how is a site supposed to be able to tell? (initially)

.

They're terrified.

They know what's coming and will do just about anything to keep it from happening.

What you say is true, but SCOTUS will have no choice but to agree with the feds here.

That isn't what the governments want the social media platforms to look out for.
