In a small city in NY the largest corporation in the world employed 70,000 people on a huge campus in the middle of the city. But the city got greedy and latched onto the corporation like a tax vampire. Fed up the corporation relocated 68,000 of the jobs to other states and leveled to the ground 90% of their campus to get out from under the ridiculous property taxes. The city fell into shambles.

How does that impact the very low economic standing of the other 8 very RED States and the Purple hard right West Virginia which happen to be in the toilet economically with New Mexico. How did 42% of the Deep RED States wind up in the group of the 10 most economically challenged States when those entire Red group only make up 39% of the Deep Red ones? It's much more than a group of outliers or a simple statistical anomaly! Can we say common, institutionalized GOP policy economic issues?

With a Blue and a Purple State in the mix of the bottom 10 States, that fits the odds of 1 in 5 for any State's possible odds of landing in the bottom slot!

No way Tennessee gets that position in the list. It's BOOMING here. Just today a whole Manhattan building of a financial firm relocated to my area. We taken the N. American HQs of 3 Blue state firms from Cali and New York just in past 3 years to the Nashville area. We're EATING the lunch of Rust Belt car manufacturers and foreign firms.

Maybe it's that "cost of living" your touting that makes a BETTER DEAL look like an economic disaster. Those Manhattan execs can have a whole Southern estate mansion for 1/3 the rent they are paying for a closet in NYC..
