Like always the Dems say they will fight the war but once you look under the shell the support is not there.
The tarp ,cap trade, health care , had to be passed now unread, today.
But when lives are at stake, pondering and stalling .
The sad thing Im not even a little bit surprised.

Well, Obama did meet with General McChrystal for 25 minutes while blowing the Olympic bid in Copenhagen.

Ya, a whole 25 minutes...... nice he could spare the time.

It's time for Obama to either poop or get off the potty in terms of what he's going to actually do in Afghanistan. It's show and tell time. Going to be interesting to see what he shall do. You know the old saying... "When all is said and done, more will be said than done." He's running out of "stall" time. Any bets?

It doesn't take that long to say wrap it up were done, or you'll have what you need.
His decision is based purely on politics.
Piss off the base or let people die.
At least he is thinking about it.

We drove the Taliban out of Afghanistan, then wasted a victory to snatch a defeat by going into Iraq on the basis of lies. In the meantime, the Taliban regrouped, and aided by the Al Qeada that we let escape at Tora Bora, retook the major portion of Afghanistan. Now President Obama is asked to make a decision in a nation where the present government was set up by the prior administration, and are little more than a kleptochracy. A government whose legitimacy is in doubt right now. Where most of the peope see us as the force behind that government. Where most of the people actually support the Taliban now.

Is there a right decision? I do not see one. General McChrystal has a vested interest in winning a war. An interest that may create a more optimistic outlook than the situation warrants.
