The Iowa Republican's unanimous consent request was thwarted by Majority Whip Dick Durbin, D-Ill., who objected to the request. Ernst requested unanimous consent from her colleagues in order to advance Sarah's Law to the floor for a vote.Commentary: One might think that a bill to detain illegals charged with violent crime would be an obvious, common sense tactic to help keep Americans safer.
Such a notion is contrary to the Dems / Marxists however as their illegals, and future voter base, might be offended.
